I am so pleased with the job James and his son provided for me. They replaced the breaker for my new dryer at the box, marked the switch for me. They also replaced the 220 plug. Everything was completed the proper way. I feel so much safer knowing all was done properly. There response to my call was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend them and will also give there name to anyone.

I do not normally write a review, but I felt the lack of common courtesy and professionalism shown by James regarding a project at our home needed to be shared,

James was quick to respond on the first trip to our home. We had requesed a quote to install 3 fans and add some plugs.

James was all about making this happen for us.

After 4 text messages, 4 phone calls over a 10 day period and not receiving a call back I decided James must have enough business and decided we were not even high enough on the list to get a call stating he changed his mind and was not interested in the work.

It must be nice to be so busy that common courtesy can be tossed out the window .

James may be a good electrician and he really seems to be a nice guy, but he needs to get a clue on a business perspective

I would not recommend him for any project. It may never get started or finished. I will never know. We will find someone we can trust to do the work.

We had a ""slipping"" chandelier which we discovered at 4:00 PM on a Saturday. James was still working on a prior job, but he promised to be here within an hour and he was. Fixed the problem in short order and was extremely reasonable. Needless to say, he will be our favored electrician in the future.

Had an appointment for a Friday, waited 8 hours - no show no call, gave an excuse lost our number. As they had been here the day before I think the excuse of losing our number is not quite the truth! Next appointment was for Sunday between 8 and 9 am. After nine we contacted him to see where he was and he sent a text to us close to 10am that he is on the way. At close to 1 pm he shows up (FOUR HOURS LATE). I was about to leave but went ahead and let him in. Wish I had not, half the job he did was sub par. He was supposed to come back on Wednesday between 3:30 and 4 pm to fix, at 5:30 he sends a text he can't make it. What would you think if you waited 15 HOURS on a contractor who did not even show for TWO OUT OF THREE appointments. In a phone conversation today he kept saying he has made an effort. I am pretty sure that most clients would beg to differ as missing two out of three appointments and being four hours late for another, is making an effort. Now lets talk about the work. The lighting he did in my kitchen is worse than it was before. I am going to have to hire an electrician to even get it back to where there is light to see by. During one portion on the day he actually showed up, he claimed the work complete. We tried turning on a fan that had been existing but they had to take down to do the other work. It did not work. The owner of JKS tried to say the batteries were out in the remote or the fan gave out. What are the chances that just after he does electrical work in that room that the fan chooses to stop working? After much persuasion that it probably was due to their work they finally took the fan down and found that wires they connected were loose. I don't know why he wanted to even argue that it had nothing to do with their work. At an earlier date we had some other minor work done by this vendor, and that appointment was kept, however the person doing the work did not even look like he was old enough to be working. The owner was not present at that time. I used to be a retail property manager handling many tenant improvements and contractors, I think this could be my worst experience in working with contractors. The owner never once apologized for missing appointments or being late. When I let him know I was going to do a bad review on Yelp, he said I was threatening him. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, FAR FAR AWAY.

JKS Electric did an excellent job with competitive pricing! I needed a last minute electrical job did which entailed switching plugs. I called several other electricians that tried to make the bigger than what it required just to over charge me, but not JKS. I explained what I needed & he gave me a fair price! The work they did was amazing a father and son team! They were professional, efficient, double checked their work, cleaned up after themselves & were fast! So basically JKS is definitely an electrical company to use for large, small & in between jobs! Thank you James & Son!

I hope they don't work like they drive.
I've been on the freeway with one of their black work trucks now for only a couple miles and their erratic lane changes and speeding have almost caused multiple accidents.
Tip: Reckless driving is not smart, especially in a work truck with your information plastered all over it.

This guy is a joke. This is the most unprofessional person I have worked with in a very long time. He charged me $1,300 to buy LED Christmas lights for my home which included installation and take down. I'm certain he kept my money and put up old lights he had laying around because from the first day of installation, we had strands of lights that weren't working properly. He came out and fixed the problem on 2 occasions but by Christmas day, we had a whole section of lights out and we paid for new LED lights. Just a reminder that this guy charged $1,300 for Christmas lights. Here we are in March and JAMES won't call me back and I'm out my lights and my money. He also took MY extention cords which I provided for him. He always had a crisis when I called and asked when he would resolve the issue. ""My truck got broken into, I'm sorry I've been busy."" My wife has had a complicated pregnancy, we're in the emergency room"". ""we just had our child, I'm sorry were at the hospital I'll have to call you back."" Seriously, this guy is so unprofessional and should have his license taken away if he really had a legitimate one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have given him the benefit of the doubt for over 3 months but we are sure this guy is a crook and should not be doing business. His contractors license # c-10 #977980. His company name is JKS ELECTRICAL INC. Stay FAR FAR AWAY
