We called JJ electric late yesterday evening after having heating problems and having the HVAC people tell us it was an electrical issue not an HVAC issue. JJ electric came out late evening on emergency (we have a newborn in the house and having a warm house is super important)-- and he was able to identify the problem right away. We had a problem with the wires outside the house and had to call PG&E in. It was a potentially dangerous situation and they were able to identify it quickly and correctly. Very happy with their service.

After calling about 10 other electrician companies on the day after Christmas, I finally got a hold of someone (Jay-the owner of JJ Electric). Knowing it was a holiday I was prepared for him to say that he was on vacation and not able to help. However, he told me that they were doing emergency cases only...I guess he understood that not having a working washer and dryer for 3 days around Christmas was indeed an emergency! So he told me to expect someone between 2 and 5pm and his partner, James, showed up around 3pm. James was polite, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain to me what the precise problem was, and he fixed it in about an hour's time. No complaints about the services provided at all! Highly recommend.

Wow, our experience with Jay today was second to none! We had an emergency issue (half the house lost power) on the Friday afternoon before Christmas weekend. I was sure we were sunk for the weekend. Called Jay, he promised to get his partner over ASAP after finishing another job. Jay texted with an ETA of 4:15pm, but then showed up himself at 4pm because his partner was delayed.

Long story short, Jay quickly diagnosed our problem, explained it in detail, fixed is as best he could on short notice, and suggested a detailed follow up. He was polite, professional, personable, and VERY clearly knowledgeable.

We'll have Jay on speed dial for ANY future electrical work. Highly recommend calling him for your home electrical needs.

We arrived home late yesterday (Saturday) to find out that we had electricity in only half of the house and the furnace was not working. Since it was very cold (and windy) yesterday, this was a problem. Even though I was a new customer, Jay came to our house at 6:30 p.m. last night. He quickly determined that only 1 Phase of electricity was coming into the house and told us that the problem was a PG&E problem. He then moved the breaker for the furnace to the Phase that was working so that we would have heat. He told us to place a service call to PG&E and this morning he called to see if PG&E has responded yet.

Jay was professional, courteous, friendly and his rate was reasonable. I would not hesitate to use Jay again.

Update: there was a slight problem after the fix, but Jay was courteous to come back and make sure everything is running smoothly. He waited 20 minutes after the fix to see if any other problems would arise. Now that's what I call customer service.
