Found Jireh Electric when looking for someone to wire in a backup generator for our home. I actually chose Jireh Electric over others, as they responded quickly via Thumbtack (an app you can find vendors through for jobs/tasks you need help with). They also offered free estimates! That was a huge incentive, as I feel charging for the estimate for it to be used toward service only if selected is a form of coercion. They were able to fit me into their schedule incredibly quickly, and they offer a really neat tracking feature to provide estimates for your tech's arrival. This was amazing as a 4 hour window can really leave you hanging, but with this, I was able to plan accordingly. They were professional, courteous, and made sure everything worked when the job was complete. They also communicate receipts/estimates/appts via email. I really appreciated this as my husband and I, as most people, are juggling a dozen different things while also trying to adult responsibly and prepare for winter. The only area of improvement I would suggest, is perhaps the techs who are servicing New Braunfels and driving in from West San Antonio, is to leave earlier. Both techs, the estimator and the one who completed the work, both left West SA after 8a for an 8a-12p appointment window. If not able to leave earlier, push the appointment time back to a more realistic eta, like 930a. Overall, Jireh electric was great, and we will certainly call them again if we have any electrical issues/to-dos.

I located this electrician on Thumbtack. What I needed was multiple new outlets installed in a warehouse. Several 220 and 120 outlets. The service techs were on time and did a great job. For the most part I am happy. There was the issue where the electrician had to return several days in a row after only a few hours. The timeline to complete the job should have been more effectively communicated. Other than that, I am happy. Would I rehire? Yes.

Quick, efficient and affordable.

Tom came out the same day I requested a free estimate, and was able to identify and provide a solution to my problem within 30 minutes.

My lights were flickering (maybe once every 3 hours) before, but I thought it was in my head until I started using my dryer, and one side of the house lost power. No breakers were tripped, so I was worried it was a wiring issue. Tom was able to see that the breaker for that side was cracked and had a burnt connector. He had one that fit in his work vehicle and got it replaced and everything works.

The appointment was made and Henry and Edward arrived on time, went to work to get us a quote for all of our needs. The quite was done on Monday and the job was started on Wednesday. Above and beyond. How often these days can we say a business has gone above and beyond? Well, if you're talking about Jireh Electric, then that's the best descriptor! We hired Jireh Electric to bring our entire 40-year-old house up to code, as well as to replace a ceiling fan and bathroom exhaust fan. Jose Luna and his team were extremely communicative throughout the whole process, and were very diligent in cleaning up debris and putting plugged-in items exactly where they were before. Outstanding job! Very happy to have them as a resource when we update fixtures in the future! A+

I've used Jireh Electric for 2 separate issues. I had a bad breaker that needed to be replaced and I needed an outlet installed on my patio. These guys were prompt, extremely courteous, and very professional. They explained what they were doing and could have easily talked me in to paying for something I didn't need but they didn't. Their rates were reasonable to me and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to a friend.

Had an estimate to replace a bathroom exhaust fan. The average estimate was $60 to $80 based on the referral site. The estimate I received from this outfit for that job was $389 and change. With my ""Veterans Discount"" it came all the way down to $369 and change. This job can be done from inside the bathroom and it is not necessary to go into the attic. There is just no way this job requires skills or time that justifies a charge this high. I received 4 other bids for this same job and the next highest bid was $200.00.
