Jason (JG Electric) replaced the panel on my old house and now he has done the one on my current house. My house was built in 1983 so the wiring needed to be updated because of corrosion and to meet the current electrical code. I was concerned that breakers did not trip when they should have and that the risk of fire was too high. Jason does not cut corners. He explained exactly what he would be doing and answered all of my questions. Replacing a panel is not inexpensive so you need to make sure your electrician does it correctly. Trust is paramount. If you need an electrician I have no qualms about fully recommending JG Electric.

Since our last review Jason has completed two more projects for us with equally excellent results! He removed an old florescent light box in our kitchen and replaced it with six adjustable LEDs, removed an old chandelier in our breakfast nook and replaced it with three LEDs, and replaced our original hallway lighting with three LEDs, all of which has dramatically improved the lighting in our home. He also added outlets in tough areas. All of the above were accomplished with minimal disruption, great communication, and excellent cleanup. Call Jason if you need electrical work done!

These guys are awesome. We've had them out three different times for various things - upgrading outlets and fuse box, fixing a lot of DIY electric work the previous owner did incorrectly, installing a cooling fan in the attic, installing new light fixtures and ceiling fans, installing a new stove hood... Basically, if we need electrical work done, we call these guys every time. Highly recommend! They're quick. They're nice. They're thorough!

What I appreciated most about Jason was not only how responsive and timely he was with my initial request (i.e.: I heard back from him within an hour of my request on YELP and he was at my door the following morning at 630a for the appt ) once he arrived and completed what I needed him to do, he pointed out some potential electrical hazards that I wasn't even aware existed in my home that could lead to equipment failure and offered up a solution .

I was originally skeptical of what he said and brought in another electrician the next day to validate what Jason had pointed out. To my surprise, he agreed with the initial assessment and recommended that I have it resolved.

My wife and I have added JG electric to our permanent list of trades that we will be working in the future.

Called JG Electric, he sounded nice on the phone but he wasn't sure he could reach the can lights on my vaulted ceiling which was weird. Made an appt for the following week, he told me he should be able to be there early. Guess what? He never showed, never called. I called and left a message and nothing. I had errands I wanted to do but instead I sat around (because he might have come early). Big disappointment.
