Recommended Customer Reviews

Disclaimer: This review is not about his electrician service (because none was provided), but rather is about his poor customer service.
I scheduled a simple ceiling fan installation with him, and after multiple conversations about the work and quotes provided, I scheduled an appointment for the install. After giving him my address, which is a brand new house that may not show up on some map apps yet, he said it didn't show up on maps. I said no worries, this is the next door address that you can find, and I can walk outside to meet you. He then said that wouldn't work and abruptly said ""never mind I will no longer be doing this project"" and hung up. That was it... Complete waste of my time for no reason.

Don't waste your time with this clown. He advertises on Craigslist and is not a serious electrician. Don't waste your phone call.

I had a great experience with Jerusalem electric. He showed up on time and was very accommodating. I forgot about the appointment but he went with me to pick out a fan and light at Home Depot. He was patient as he guided me with the size of fan That would work in the room. He showed me all of the parts that were needed and explained the new codes for junction boxes. He spent several hours from start to finish and the light and fan are beautiful. The final bill was very reasonable. I was very impressed with the service, skill and customer service. Will definitely use them again.

this guy calls me up thru Home Depot refer, and asks about my project. i give him the details and we agree on his price and we agree on the project schedule.
the next day he texts to tell me he decided not to take the project!
what!!!
had he not called me up, i could have setup with other electricians.
you wasted my time. what a bummer!

We contacted the owner of Jerusalem Electric, via Home Depot. He was unable to program the remote and get the new ceiling fan that he installed to work. He stated he would return and later declined to do so unless we paid an additional $1000.00.
We recently purchased a ceiling fan and wanted to have the old ceiling fan placed in another bedroom. The owner of Jerusalem installed the fan and then said it didn't work. We explained that the fan had been working. We trusted his assessment, paid him the installation fee he quoted which was $175.00. He suggested we purchased a new ceiling fan and he offered to return to our home to install the new fan. We purchased a new fan and a remote by the same manufacturer as the fan. He installed the fan; however, he was unable to get the fan to work. He performed trouble shooting with the breaker box, wall switch etc., and he informed us the power to the fan did work. It took more that 2.5 hours and Jerusalem owner appeared to be frustrated that he was unable to get the fan and remote to work, he took frequent smoke breaks, talked about his religion excessively, went outside and talked on his cell phone numerous times, and then recommended we contact the manufacturer to discuss the troubleshooting for the remote. He said he would return to our home to work on the fan again. He said for him to return to complete the job, he would charge $50.00. We contacted the ceiling fan and remote manufacturer who recommended troubleshooting steps which involved removing the fan and checking the receiver installed in the fan. We contacted Jerusalem owner and he refused to return to our home and complete the fan installation. He said it was the ""devil in the electricity that caused the remote and fan not to work, not him."" He stated since he spent 3 hours of his time installing and troubleshooting and he was sure he did everything right, therefore he would only return if we paid him $1000.00. Thus, we are stuck with a new ceiling that was not installed properly and does not work!

Jerusalem Electric was referred to us by the late Norman Laporte, of Laporte Real Estate who died last march 2019 after being in business for over 52 years.
We called Jerusalem Electric, a one man show, to upgrade an electric line towards a new water heater. The plumber (MSP) kept telling us that the heating units of the old one were bad. Hubert Dube, the owner of Jerusalem Electric showed us the heating units of the old water heater were still good. By this time however the new water heater had been installed but kept popping the fuse. That brought on two problems, not one. We ourselves (my handy Filipina wife mainly) figured out how to set those heating units so they do not pop the fuse and more importantly Hubert suggested to replace the ""box"" with breakers instead of fuses.
That was done and Eureka, no more replacing expensive fuses or go find one on a Sunday, especially those big ones.
The work was all done in one day and the cost was $1400. Rewiring two lines, installed in the 1950s when the house was built, amounted to an extra $300.
We have been without problems ever since. Ever since also have we recommended Jerusalem to many friends and business associates. Hubert Dube promptly arrives and makes a free estimate. We have come to know him and his lovely family well, and to his credit, having been recommended by an honest professional by the name of Norman Laporte, may he rest in peace, was the best guarantee of all.
