The company (Jeff Masters) has performed a few electrical services for me, and I have been satisfied. This time I had a problem with a breaker (240 V double pole 80 amp) for my heater unit in the house. The story is long and confusing, so I'll jump to my disappointment.
It was difficult for me, to know if the source of the problem was with the electrical side or the A/C side.
After the problem was solved, I had a left over new 80-amp breaker ($95) that Jeff Master's company had installed, and it was not performing as needed.
I called Jeff and spoke with him personally. The conversation was unpleasant, and Jeff spoke down to me as if, I knew little about electricity. There is little doubt that he knows more than I, but it was unnecessary. He could have handled this situation in different ways, and I would be happy and writing a very different review. I would not use his company again. He did offer to refund my money, but I decided that I do not need the $95 that badly and I will have an 80-amp breaker as a reminder & trophy. Thank you, Jeff.

Jeff gave us a quote for a job at our house. Turned out there were many obstacles that became obvious as the job was being done. A small job became a major job. I figured the quoted price would be at least doubled because of this. Much to my surprise Jeff stood by his quote! We first met him in the 80's when we were both new to the area & he did a job for us. He was then, and is now, a great guy with a whole lot of expertise no matter the job. You could not find anyone more capable or honest than this man. We can't thank you Jeff for your integrity and helpfulness. You are one in a million!

This is long but worth the read. Jeff did what two other electricians did not want to do or could not do after each of those companies explored the situation. One was a big company, and the other an independent. Jeff, himself came in, did detective like work and said ""we can do this but it's a challenge based upon no attic and a first floor condo unit"". We needed additional amperage added to our garage & utility room to run some medical equipment, an AC unit in the garage, and a frig which had only been built with 15 amp. He did this work all without disturbing our newly painted and remodeled condo. We now have a sub panel in the garage and no GFIs tripping when I vacuum. He pulled all the permits, had them in less than a few days. This job took 3 days with 2 electricians- Jeff did everything he said he would and kept us on track with a very busy schedule and peeps out from work etc. FAST FORWARD TO IAN! I called him to help with a friend whose husband passed aware very suddenly 6 weeks ago leaving a 44 yr old wife and a 7 yr old daughter. The masthead had broken off from the house during Ian and electrical restoration wasn't going to be possible without that repair. I called, he drove by, assessed the need and repair, his guys came the next day, did the repair - FPL came that afternoon by chance and attached their big cable and power was restored to her home, all done in the nick of time. He is and his people are MR. CAN DO! PROFESSIONAL, problem solvers, clean, attentive, and all business with a little warm and fuzzy from Jeff's odd sense of humor which you will get used to. His wife answers the phone and they know whats important and what's not- good people through and through. Are they more expensive than the other companies? Maybe more than the ham and egg independent electricians, but not more than the big guys who refused our job because it was just too complicated and challenging for them. Trust me...these guys are the best! Just do it...you won't be disappointed and you will be able to sleep at night!

I was a bit concerned after reading so many bad reviews, but they came highly recommended, so I thought I'd give it a try with the small job before asking about the larger job.

Quick service for our GFI replacement and when I asked a question about the emergency switch I needed for the hot water heater that was installed the day before, he said he had time before his next appointment, called the office, gave me my estimate and did that for us too!

Ask for Ryan, a wonderful, thoughtful and caring young man.

On a friend's suggestion I had Jeff Masters electric out to give me an estimate on putting in service for a washer and dryer. Ryan who was a wonderful person and I'm sure has nothing to do with the way the business is run came out and went through everything and I was surprised that he took his time to do that. I paid $168 and did not get it reimbursed when I had them do the work cuz they said that it was supposed to be an inspection which I already bought the house did not need an inspection. Jeff Masters came out and hooked up electric and put two outlets in for the washer and dryer charged me $200 more because he said that I said it was all one unit when in actuality they asked me if I wanted it side by side or stacked told them I did not know until it arrived due to spacing.

Also had to get a new air conditioner had a different electric company come out to see where the electric was going to be placed when they opened up the electric box they had to pull the plug to my Park model because the outlet was all burned up which they said had been there for a while.. funny how the inspection and Jeff Masters himself which I asked to look everything over while he was installing my electric missed that almost causing a fire. Shame on you this is what gives Florida companies a bad name

So had this company come out to a rental property that had a wire torn off of a fence, so I asked them to come take a look at this ( to me this sounded like a free estimate like they say) So when there electric guy gets there to me and my tenant who is outside waiting, he tells us that It will be a $100 an hour to start he goes ahead and takes the wire which is hanging from the fence off he literally just took his hand and tore the wire the rest of the way off the fence and then tells me he does not have the stuff in the work truck to fix it he needed a new wire (uh no daw)! So he then tells me and my tenant it's gonna be $100 an hour and he gets paid from the time he pulls up to he's done and he has to drive over to the business to get a wire to replace it and charge me as he's going back to the business to get it. What! How is that a free estimate I say he said no it's a work order I said No it was not supposed to be so he says ok sign this paper so my bosses know I showed up here well again they cheated me he had me sign a paper which by the way I never got a copy of, and so I guess the paper was not what he told me it was for but for a bill for $110 for him to show up and pull a wire off a fence which was almost off anyways I have pics of him doing this and charge me $110 for that which was supposed to only a free estimate. Then they send the bill to my tenants house cause they never got my info they where in such a hurry to charge someone money for any reason so they go to Farr Farr and sue me for $110 for a free estimate and I'm disabled what a piece of crap company they lie and obviously cheat don't go here save your money untrustworthy company, and Un- knowledgeable crew I had another company come out the same day the same hour because he was my second (free estimate) Masters Electric was like I said the 1st estimate ( but charged me for a work order) told me what my estimate was going to be right then and there and charged me $100 for the whole process and had the equipment with him so glad I found a new company to work with.

Moved to Fl. from California few months ago and needed an electrician to change some light fixtures, bulbs, and replace a ceiling fan.

He charged me over double the price of the LED Bulbs than they cost from home depot and charged me over double for a dimmer switch.

The electrician also took more time than my electrician took for similar jobs in Calif.

Would not recommend.

The job was done correctly, two electricians turned up on time. The electrician smoked the entire job, threw his cigarette butts on the ground in my yard that I had to pick up later. Was charged for 2.5 hours but two guys were here for less than 1.5 hours. Questioned the invoice with Mr. Masters and he was arrogant and rude. I'll pay my invoice accordingly but they won't get my money again!

The job itself was done correctly. The customer service (especially Jeff) was terrible. The man made me feel as if I was bothering him, even though he would not communicate with me about what was going on. He is a very rude man. I would not recommend this company. There are other capable electricians that are also cordial, even polite.

Top notch outfit. They are professional and courteous. I've used them several times now. They give upfront pricing and do everything they say they will do. Jeff is a stickler for detail and expects that quality work from all of his employees. They may not be the cheapest but they do quality work and it's worth it.
