JD hit it out of the park... again!

Initially hired to build an outdoor living area, our positive experience led us to entrust JD Construction with another, more extensive effort. The second project was an addition and a full remodel to our hillside mid-century home.

The project's significant size and complexity (e.g., difficult access) and our (sometimes frequent!) changes were handled with ease, thanks to the team's good-natured spirit and adaptability.

Throughout the six-month project, Jesus consistently provided valuable suggestions, giving his expertise in unique design elements, optimizing small and awkward spaces, cost-cutting solutions - without compromising quality - and wise considerations for resale value.

We called on Jesus from JD General Construction to assess some damage from a leaky toilet to our original 80's era linoleum bathroom floor. We knew we would need to replace the flooring, but we had also been considering a small bathroom remodel (replacing the vanity and mirror, and new paint), so we asked him to quote out both jobs. Jesus was very responsive to our inquiry and came out right away to assess the floor damage and take measurements. He immediately put us at ease as to the severity of the problem, leaning on his prior experience, and playing out the ""worst case scenario"" so we would know what to expect.

Jesus immediately came across as honest and knowledgeable; he felt like someone my husband and I could see working with on future home improvements. Though it wasn't part of the original plan, just for fun we asked for a quote to go ahead and replace the rest of our downstairs flooring: a carpeted family room and a tiled kitchen floor with vinyl plank flooring. Though the rooms are connected, this has always been a rather disjointed space and we were looking for a little more continuity between the rooms.

We ended up going with Jesus and his crew for the bathroom remodel and new floors in the kitchen, family room, and laundry room, and we could not be happier with the results. The benefit of going with a General Contractor over a simple flooring company was evident in both their ability to handle those unexpected issues (like some subfloor water damage) to problem solving and craftsmanship. Thanks to Jesus and JD General Construction, our family is loving our fresh new bathroom and gorgeous new floor. It was just the refresh we needed!

I had unreasonable expectations with our plan to remodel the kitchen. I had underestimated cost and effort. As a DIY hobbyist, I thought I knew what I was talking about. Ha - was I wrong! Meeting Jesus once, we decided to go with him right away. I may not know construction, but I sure do know people. Jesus was always straightforward and honest with everything from beginning to end. Hisnline was always open for communication (unlike others we've experienced in the past). He even steered us away from making bad design choices. He's very knowledgeable and will use him for any remodeling in the future. His crew's workmanship is top notch, and I trusted them in and around the house even with our kids around. These guys rock!

Jesus and his team did a great job. The entire team worked in a professional and courteous manner. They even covered the floor from the front door to the bathroom so they wouldn't track dirt in. They finished on time, on budget and cleaned up everyday. When issues came up they resolved them in a way that exceeded our expectation. We highly recommend Jesus and his team.

I want to commended Jesus and his crew for their outstanding work for all of my projects, they were prompt and arrived at 8:00 and left at 5:00. Jesus was very attentive to detail and his crew followed his directions. My first project was placing my TV above the fireplace, it looks great and comfortable to watch. I also had many recessed lights placed in every room, my kitchen was remodeled and two bathrooms remodeled, I was very pleased. The crew was very neat and cleaned up everyday before leaving. Jesus is a nice person and he and his crew were easy to work with. I would recommended Jesus and his crew for any job they may have throughout your home.

JD General Construction just remodeled our kitchen, bathroom, family room and relocated/upgraded our electrical sub-panel. They all look better than we could have ever imagined! We contacted 5 contractors for bids. We chose JD for several reasons: They we're very responsive from the initial contact and throughout the entire process; their bid was very competitive to any budget; they were available to start when we were ready; and our project manager, Jesus, also an excellent licensed electrician, was truly amazing. You can't find anyone as honest and knowledgeable as him. There wasn't an obstacle him and his team couldn't tackle. He took the time to really find out what we wanted and guided us through the process and produced amazing results. Him and his team were very patient and receptive with whenever we had questions or changes as long as we were happy. We highly recommend JD General Construction and will definitely use them again and again.

JD General just finished our kitchen remodel. It was a Great experience from beginning to End. Miles and Jesus were very communicative the entire time.

Miles helped design our kitchen layout and customized our cabinet layout. He spent a lot of time with us upfront to ensure we liked the design, and the scope matched our budget.

Jesus came out on multiple occasions prior to construction and was very friendly and easy to talk to.

During construction to the crew was always on time, and very nice. They were neat, and cleaned up most days.

The project finished on time and on budget.

I'd like to give a big shout out to JD Constructions for doing a superb job on our kitchen remodeling project. I came across them while walking my kid to school on Marsh drive when they were working on Neighbour's project. I also noticed they did couple of other projects in the neighborhood and got good recommendation on Nextdoor. Here's what stood out for us:
- Super responsive and accommodating to our needs. They communicate with clients not just phone/text but create a chat group on Telegram app, and they are always available on Telegram (including nights and weekends) to answer questions, collaborate on design, etc. The app made is real easy to work with these guys.
- One of the partners Miles is an expert at design, and was very patience with all the various changes we asked them to make. Unlike some contractors, these guys do everything - drawings, permits, install, etc.
- Very reasonable and lower on cost than most established contractors.
- They expanded our kitchen, replaced sliding door, new cabinets, new appliances, new island, new countertop, plumbing, electrical, all in 4 weeks from start to finish. They estimated six weeks but were able to do it in 4 without compromise on quality. This was critical for us because living without a kitchen is a challenge.
- The crew took great pride in their work - they did an amazing job with the finishing and always cleaned up the work area everyday.
- The owner, Jesus, is super nice to work with. I am sure those who have done projects with them can attest to this.

Jesus and his crew did an awesome job raising our living room floor to the height of the entry and dining room. Their attention to details and making sure that we were completely satisfied with their work was such a nice change from what we have experienced in the past. There was a misunderstanding with one item and the very next day they took all necessary steps to make sure the issue was corrected properly. We didn't feel like any shortcuts were taken, just the contrary, they seemed to go above and beyond. Honesty and integrity goes a long way in our book. We were very impressed with this crew and have several other projects that we will be contacting Jesus to complete for us in the future.
