After rigorous research, I choose JD General Construction for my house remodeling. Jesus Duran, the boss of the company, was a pleasure to work with from the initial consultation through the final reveal. The team was efficient and finished the work within the given timeframe. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the finished space are truly impressive. Their work exceeded my expectation ------ did some extra work such as clean a pipe clog, installing door lock and some other minor fix. I am very happy and satisfied with the services. Definitely, I will recommend the team to others as well.

My kitchen was old and outdated. Jesus and his design team helped transform my small kitchen into a spacious open area with some simple changes and rearrangements. I love my new island too! JD completed a small kitchen remodel in our home. We kept the footprint the same, but replaced all of the cabinets as well as a stovetop for a stand alone stove/oven.
Jesus and Jessica got us started letting us know a place to make selections for countertop and backsplash. We pre-purchased all of the appliances and hardware before the job started to alleviate any delays with the process.
The demolition, framing and installation of everything ran smoothly. JD construction was good communicating with the city and us for permits that would be pulled and inspections being done.
Jessica and Jesus were easy to communicate with and did their best to answer any questions we had. Overall we are very happy with our new kitchen and have enjoyed some of the features new to us...like a pantry!

Jesus and his team did a fantastic job on our bathroom and bedroom renovation, we absolutely love our final product. We selected JD Construction because they were well-organized, straightforward, and honest. We did not have any architectural plans drawn up, but we shared some basic drawings in PowerPoint along with images of other bathroom features we found online. Due to that, during the rough-in phase of the project we had to make a few adjustments. Jesus made every adjustment we asked for, famously saying ""its not a problem, we'll take care of it"". He was always calm, easy to work with and results oriented. Overall, the project was completed on time and we got exactly what we had hoped for. I highly recommend JD Construction and would use them again.

My husband and I absolutely love our finished ADU space.

The process from beginning to end was long, but we felt supported through it all. The construction process was new to us but JD General Construction was highly recommended and at an affordable rate. We had a good feeling, so we leaned in and trusted him fully. Once we agreed to work together, JD General Construction guided us through the entire process, from engineering to permitting to design. At each stage, we were guided well and honestly.

Once we broke ground, JD General Construction guided my family step by step with their expertise while also considering our preferences and how we intended to use the space. It was important to us that the space felt like an extension of my daughters existing home, but also private for my husband and I to enjoy. Now that the space is built, it flows beautifully with the existing home, feels spacious and comfortable and give us the privacy we need -- it was all accounted for thanks to JD General Construction and team.

During the build phase, Jesus would make recommendations thanks to his many years of expertise, communicated our agreed upon preferences to the crew, and executed on each to the highest level of quality. The team was very flexible, professional, and very hard working. Jesus never said 'no', only offered solutions or options to make things work. As with any job, we experienced some minor delays due to permitting or other commitments, but all things were communicated well with updates along the way.

I would hire JD General Construction in a heartbeat. And if you need a contractor, you should too. In fact, I've already shared his information with our neighbors. If you are considering an ADU -- call JD General Construction to make it happen. Not only has the ADU living enhanced our retirement years, it's brought me closer to family. Plus, the rental opportunity in the Bay Area is tremendous. Our ADU is large enough to fit a small family comfortably and that could be huge earnings for a homeowner and also savings for a renting family in our current housing market.

Jesus and his crew including Jessica were excellent to work with. I reached out to jesus and he came out to look at our old bathroom and was very pleasant to talk with as we discussed our renovation plans. We were able to book right away and the guys started promptly on day one. They always arrived on time and cleaned up before leaving. They protected our floors each day (it rained on & off when they worked), were efficient, and the job was completed on time and within budget. Initially hired to build an outdoor living area, our positive experience led us to entrust JD Construction with another, more extensive effort. The second project was an addition and a full remodel to our hillside mid-century home.

The project's significant size and complexity (e.g., difficult access) and our (sometimes frequent!) changes were handled with ease, thanks to the team's good-natured spirit and adaptability.

We called on Jesus from JD General Construction to assess some damage from a leaky toilet to our original 80's era linoleum bathroom floor. We knew we would need to replace the flooring, but we had also been considering a small bathroom remodel (replacing the vanity and mirror, and new paint), so we asked him to quote out both jobs. Jesus was very responsive to our inquiry and came out right away to assess the floor damage and take measurements. He immediately put us at ease as to the severity of the problem, leaning on his prior experience, and playing out the ""worst case scenario"" so we would know what to expect.

Jesus immediately came across as honest and knowledgeable; he felt like someone my husband and I could see working with on future home improvements. Though it wasn't part of the original plan, just for fun we asked for a quote to go ahead and replace the rest of our downstairs flooring: a carpeted family room and a tiled kitchen floor with vinyl plank flooring. Though the rooms are connected, this has always been a rather disjointed space and we were looking for a little more continuity between the rooms.

We ended up going with Jesus and his crew for the bathroom remodel and new floors in the kitchen, family room, and laundry room, and we could not be happier with the results. The benefit of going with a General Contractor over a simple flooring company was evident in both their ability to handle those unexpected issues (like some subfloor water damage) to problem solving and craftsmanship. Thanks to Jesus and JD General Construction, our family is loving our fresh new bathroom and gorgeous new floor. It was just the refresh we needed!

I had unreasonable expectations with our plan to remodel the kitchen. I had underestimated cost and effort. As a DIY hobbyist, I thought I knew what I was talking about. Ha - was I wrong! Meeting Jesus once, we decided to go with him right away. I may not know construction, but I sure do know people. Jesus was always straightforward and honest with everything from beginning to end. Hisnline was always open for communication (unlike others we've experienced in the past). He even steered us away from making bad design choices. He's very knowledgeable and will use him for any remodeling in the future. His crew's workmanship is top notch, and I trusted them in and around the house even with our kids around. These guys rock!
