Founded in 2014 by Jason Ortiz Sr. in a small office in Hayward, CA. Before starting his own electrical firm, Jason worked as a Journeyman Electrician for a decade. His focus on residential and commercial projects led to the successful completion of various jobs in the Bay Area, spanning from Santa Rosa to San Jose. Over time, Jason's Electric has grown and now enjoys a solid presence in Orange County, Southern California. Our base in Orange County allows us to serve the entire Southern California region, including Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, and LA Counties. We are proud of the communities we serve and are dedicated to providing high-quality services to our customers.
Jason has more than 16 years of experience in the electrical field, bringing a wealth of knowledge in residential and commercial work. Starting as an apprentice in Monterey, CA, Jason honed his skills in the Bay Area with multiple contractors. He spent five years at San Jose International Airport, gaining industrial experience with PLCs and technologies such as Allen Bradley and Siemens controls, along with high voltage work. Seeking further challenges, he remained in the industrial sector for three more years and ventured into the Cell Site/RF industry, handling electrical work for cell towers throughout California. In 2014, he secured his C-10 electrical contractor's license and launched Jason's Electric. He has undertaken various projects in the Bay Area and LA since then, and his business keeps expanding.

Used them to diagnose and fix a dead power outlet in the living room.
+1 Star for very quick response and prompt communication before and after repair
+1 Star for availability and for showing up at the promised time
Zero Stars for price. I don't mind paying for an hour of diagnostic charge to find the problem and to pay $25 material charge to swap out an outlet (home depot cost would have been $3), but I was quite unhappy with being charged an additional $200 labor to replace the outlet that had a lose contact and trim an inch of a brittle old wire. That should really have been included in the 1 hour diagnosis charge as it didn't take more than 5 minutes to fix.

Loved that he showed up with a mask on and had no problem when I asked him to remove his shoe. I had a huge logistics problem with the location of my panels and place I needEd my outlet. My electrician was able help me figure everything out and get my outlet installed super easy. I'm pleased with job.

Was in contact with them about doing a simple residential load calculation to make sure my panels were appropriately sized for an inspection. I was explicit about this having to be done urgently.
An original appointment was set on Thursday for Saturday but it was cancelled due to Easter weekend and the techs being too busy. Which is not the issue for me.
The new appointment was for Monday now. One day before I needed the calculations. The electrician came and looked around, got all the information he needed and by the sounds of it relayed that information or put it into a generic calculator.
The calculator output was sent to me as a final product from the company. I attached one of the emails for context. All 3 emails are the same and don't provide what is needed for scope of work.
Nowhere do you see the appropriate minimum sizing for the panels.
The entire purpose of a residential electrical load calculation is to accurately determine the size of the electrical service base upon the electrical equipment that is installed. So basically the work was not complete.
I expressed my unhappiness and was told I would be getting an excel document that would be the final product, which was never received. Not before the inspection I had or after.
I asked for a refund or even a partial refund since they did come out. Was told by the operations manager that a service was provided and the electrician came out and did their job as best they could. So no refund could be given. Not even a partial which I said I would've fine with!
As you can see I received nothing but a sequence of numbers but there's no minimum sizing. Basically worthless information that I paid 280 dollars for.
If you're considering using them for anything similar to the scope of work I asked for, I would say go elsewhere. I can only speak to this work in particular.
If you're going to do any other work, I would say be prepared to be met with no solutions from a customer service perspective if things go wrong. Don't even think about asking for, let alone receiving even a partial refund. Even if they do work that is not correct or complete.

Didn't show for appointment for an estimate. Never messaged me for a phone number or address. Maybe would have had a better experience if he had used another appointment setting function.

Didn't end up needing his service but Jason was very responsive and his quoted price was fair. I'll contact him first next time I need electrical work.
