I call them up this wk to replace a circuit breaker, which Jeff said in Jan2018 after finishing the job that this might happen, & he'd take care of it.. cuz the new code required a less powerful breaker. Since when does paying $8K for a total rewire on a 2BR, just 3 yrs ago, not include addressing whatever issues arise?
In who's brain is it ok to treat it as a service call, to address an issue on a job they themselves did just 3 yrs ago? wtf..?
Clearly this was all my error for assuming he'd be there for me as he said he would after I gave him the check. It was also totally my error for paying $1200 over his original high bid.
Not being able to trust people u pay well for their services is a shitty feeling.

The crew that worked on our exhaust fan project was both experienced and careful.

After their work was done there was no mess left behind.

This was a small project but done to high standards evenso.

They are busy but worth the wait.

I will happily use them again.

I used Janakes Electric in late 2012 to rewire an entire 3 bedroon 2 bath house that had old knob & tube wiring, an outgrown panel, and only 2-prong outlets everywhere. I also had some lighting installed, many new outlets, and two bath fans. His crew was efficient, clean, and a pleasure to work with. Jeff is a great guy, as honest as they come, and VERY good at his trade. The price was ""right"" and I will use him (them) again whenever I need a good electrician.

I have used Janakes Electric for years and would never go with anyone else. Janakes Electric's work is top quality work done with pride and with value which no one else can rival. I used Janakes for a small job, but would (will) use him again. Very straightforward, credible, reliable. Came out to my house to fix a very small job and wouldn't even take my money -- smart guy because I have bigger things I'll need to do soon... When giving me recommendations on some other issues I asked him about, he was direct and offered options and tradeoffs, without exaggerating the need for me to do specific upgrades. I feel like he is very trustworthy.

Will add more (and/or revise my 5 star rating if needed) after I do some more significant work.
