James was hired to complete some electrical work on our apartment, by our landlord at the time. He was here a total of 3 times to do some pretty major work. The first time James came out, he was incredibly friendly and shared a lot of useful information with us. He stated the main PG&E box out front was pulling 100 amps per unit, when each unit (6plex) was only set up to allow 70 amps per unit, ""which was likely the cause of our regular power outages."" He stated he knew ""Mark the inspector for 20+ years and Mark wouldn't have passed this place knowing this info"", also stated it ""was a lawsuit waiting to happen."" James changed his tune suddenly the 2nd time he was here, then the 3rd, once a lawsuit had been mentioned.
Our property manager had called in May 2023 to report to us that she'd been terminated from her position with this rental management company and it was for the way she had treated both our family and another disabled and elderly tenant onsite, who they attempted to wrongfully evict.
We have officially filed our lawsuit against this property manager. We were given a copy yesterday, of this property managers evidence and James wrote a nice long letter, in favor of the property manager. James chose to lie to our property manager, stating a $25 lamp (still has price tag on bottom) we bought from Ross (not antique as he described in our lawsuit) was the cause of our ongoing electrical issues, not the main PG&E box, or the fact we didn't have a main breaker switch (code violation)...or any of the other issues he brought to our attention while here. I wrote the city of Santa Rosa code enforcement and let them know of this issue. They responded to go with what the electrician said. His story obviously changed from his original one, so not sure what our property manager had over him? I do have to say, he was awfully flirty with me while working on our apartment the 1st time he did work here. Incredibly inappropriate.
Considering posting the letter he wrote to the courts on behalf of our property manager, it's a great character reference for James. He is the liar! The outlet he was referring to still did not work once he came out that 3rd time. And, the light has been used every single evening since he made this an issue. You're an asshole James! We hope that you're called in to testify under oath.

I had the best experience with a contractor that I have ever had. I hired James Electric to replace my old electrical panel. Every step of the way, James, Tammy (his wife that is his office manager and a miracle worker) and their team were incredible. They were extremely professional, perfectionists, communicators, timely and very personable. Their hard work ethic is one that everyone should experience. The project was a very difficult one because we had to install the new panel away from the gas meter in accordance with new PG&E regulations. Trenching had to be completed before new conduit and lines were installed. I was able to see how they worked throughout the entire process to a successful end.

If anyone needs a fabulous electrician, James Electric would be that company. They are a local family-owned business.

James is great! Twenty+ years ago, he did a ton of electrical work at my house during a massive remodel. He also installed in wall speakers and ran the wires under my very low crawl space. His work was perfect. This year I decided that I needed a smart thermostat and some upgrades to my lighting system. Also needed some clean up work involving long abandoned cables outside. James did it all, at a fair price, and with service with a smile. Based on my experience with James over the past 20 years I give him my strongest recommendation.

DANG!! there is nothing more nerve-racking than lights flickering in your home. no, correction..there is. what's worse is when HALF of your lights/plugs flicker and go pffft! and go off. this is what happened at my house. i speculated about the problem, checked some breakers, and was flummoxed. we did the first thing that made sense. we called PG&E and they showed up quickly. they poked around and said, ""nope, the problem is in your house somewhere"". we quickly called James Electric and they promptly called us back and put us on the schedule a few days later. James (bossman) shows up on time, and him and another electrician walked directly to the problem. it was the Meter-box. worse case scenario. there are major hurdles to getting this work done. potential new trenches need to be done, permits, etc. my neighbors graciously all said i could run cords from their home to my important stuff, but it wasnt needed. James Electric did a quick repair so we could put it into limp mode while they secure the permits. they assured us, we were safe. James has been around so long, and they have such a positive reputation, they found PG&E very cooperative. we secure permits in record time, cleared hurdles and 2 days later, my power was shut down, and James Electric went to work!!! when done, a simple phone call to PG&E, they show up, reconnect the service and my home came back to life. Money spent was on super tidy work, fast work, skilled work..and their ability to work so well with the utility. my friend was shocked. in Walnut creek, he was running on neighbors power for over a month!! James Electrical also installed our car charger several months ago, so we were familiar with their level of work and attention to detail. things are straight and plumb. and permitted.

i plan on AC and a new Electrical stove at my home soon. James planned ahead and our new electrical meter panel is ready for future upgrades. thanks JE!! thanks. you all did great.
