Shortly after my review, just three months later, my inverter failed. A little disappointed that it was only 8 years old but it was still within the 12 year warranty. Jamar was fairly quick to check the bad unit and have a new replacement installed in less than a month. It seems half or more installers have gone out of business since my installation in 2015 so I'm glad Jamar is still in business and doing well.

I live in East County where the power is shut off by SDG&E all the time due to ""high winds"". My power is probably turned off about 6-8 times a year for this reason or another. Most recently it was scheduled to be off for 4 days. Luckily after 2 1/2 days, the power came back on. My home doesn't have a battery backup system or generator. So during those this time, I would sit in my vehicle and power up my kid's school chrome books and power banks so I could charge the cell phones.

After this most recent power outage, I had it! I decided to get a generator. Luckily for me, SDG&E was having a $300.00 rebate on certain types of generators bought from Home Depot or Lowes. I contacted Jamar Power Systems in Santee. I have used them for many years. I first learned about them when checking the Better Business Bureau and they had a high rating (A+). I called Jamar Power Systems and spoke to Mike Baumeister. I explained to him that I had seen (on U-tube) how a homeowner hooked up a large plug outlet to his utility box and when the power went out he would shut the utility box off, plug in a cord and turn on his generator to power the entire house.

Mike asked me to send him a photo of my utility box which I did. He e-mailed me back and said that they could do that project and provided a detailed list of what I would need. It was so detailed that he sent links so that I could see the photos of the items and prices. Mike recommended two of the generators on the rebate list and even told me about a local place where I could buy a specific amount of special 6 gauge wiring for the cord.

After I had all the items I scheduled for an appointment. I told my next-door neighbor about this project. She who also bought a generator and also purchased the same items and spoke to Mike and scheduled her appointment right after mine.

Jamar Power Systems technician Rob showed up at my home on Christmas Eve. Rob has been to my residence on prior occasions due to electrical issues that have occurred. Rob was on time and courteous as usual. I explained to him what I wanted to have done. He got right to it. It even started sprinkling toward the end of the project. He completed the project in the rain! Thank you Mike and Rob for all your help.

I asked the electricians to take down 7 chandeliers. The antique & expensive fixtures were removed but will be replaced at a later date. The guys carefully took down the lighting and didn't break anything. The job was priced reasonably considering the delicate nature of each piece. I will call them for future work. They were quiet, easy to work with and on time.

We just had a new roof installed and the solar system (installed by another company about seven years ago) had to be removed and reinstalled as part of the roofing process. The timing for the solar to be taken off and put back on was important. Rick Follett of Jamar did an excellent job coordinating the job with the roofers. Jamar's employees were careful where they stacked the panels in our yard and were neat, thorough and professional.

Great company that stands behind their agreement! My system was producing below production estimates and it was determined that the shade analysis was incorrect. Without asking they added 4 panels at their cost. Now I'm producing more than estimated.

I'm in the construction business and can tell you they did everything as they should.... and I'm picky. Very professional.
