Unreliable. I called and scheduled with this guy twice and all I have to show is time missed from work. I explained the scope of work and scheduled an appointment for the middle of the following week with the understanding he would work on the main items based on time and materials and price some additional items for later. He never showed up for the first appointment. Because of the reviews, I gave him a second chance. He showed up over 4 hours late, in a hurry, after many calls and coordination and could not do the work due to the late hour. After that, I contacted him couple of times to check his availability and get an estimate of the work. It has been over 4 weeks and he is still working on the estimate. Worse yet, anytime I called to schedule for him to take care of the main issues, he would ask me to call again by the end of the week . I guess he is just too busy to work...

Jake saved our day! Honest, knowledgeable and dependable! Our hot water gas instant heater didn't work and I thought it may be connected to an electrical problem. I called him at 8pm on a Tuesday and he called right back to troubleshoot the problem on the phone. He spent time looking at photos I sent and he figured out the problem...he did not give up until we figured it out. He refused to accept a fee for a phone consultation. He was so happy my problem was solved. People like this are so hard to find. I will hire Jake in future and reccomend to all friends! Much better to give money to good people like him than many others who would have charged me a fortune for my emergency situation.

I contacted Jake, based on Yelp reviews, one morning, telling him it wasn't an emergency, but I had family coming the next afternoon and I would really like to have some relatively minor work done (hanging 4 lighting fixtures) before they arrive. He visited that day, inspected the fixtures, and made an excellent suggestion of a modification to minimize the possibility of a fire. As promised, his skilled assistant Vernon showed up first thing the very next morning to do the job, perfectly, within the 2 hours estimate. I'm certain I've never gotten such good service, speedy and skilled. Are six stars possible?

First time I used Jake he came on time and all was well. This time I called him on a Friday, he said he was so busy he would come sometime during next week & I had to wait for his call...so I waited...& waited....& waited...promises and then he wouldn't show up. Then after two disappointments of cancelations..he said Friday afternoon (a week later)..that became Friday night after 5pm and then it became 7:30 am on Monday. Don't bother, since Jake has been on Yelp he is far too busy and not organized. If you have a small job (Mine wasn't small) don't bother.
