Back in October, I received the unhappy news that SafeCo, the underwriter of my home insurance, would not be renewing my policy. I had to scramble to find another insurer and thought myself extremely fortunate when Mercury wrote a new policy for about the same amount I'd been paying SafeCo.

But then, just five or so weeks later, my new insurer informed me that they, too, would be cancelling my policy just a few weeks hence. They didn't like that the electrical subpanel in my house was of the old fuse variety, which are more likely to be implicated in fires. Mercury would only rescind the cancellation if I replaced the subpanel with a modern switch-based unit--and it had to happen fast. So once again, I found myself anxiously scrambling, this time for an electrician.

I got quotes from three guys. I found Tim Rubio of Jade Electric to be friendly and personable, and his quote came in considerably lower than the other two--less than half of the second-highest quote and only 25 percent of the highest one. Just as important, he was able to squeeze in my project right after Christmas and only two days before my insurance was due to expire. I have him to thank for the fact that the threatened cancellation of my insurance was rescinded. He really saved my bacon and I am very grateful. In a separate project, he will also be upgrading the electrical capacity of my house from 100 amps to 200 amps.

So if you're looking for an electrician, you can stop now. Tim's great, his guys are pleasant and do fast, clean work, and his rates are very competitive. I'll be going to him for all future electrical service.

They came and salvaged a PGE burnout in my rental units. Not only were they fast with a reasonable estimate but they worked with me to document the work in detail so I could get reimbursed by PGE. What's more they came back to finish details after is finished paying. So a plus.

Jade electric came out to my home for different jobs like exterior outlets , 220 outlet and interior recessed lighting . The pricing was very reasonable and they came to my house promptly. I was extremely satisfied with the work and attention to detail. For example , plastic was laid in my home to mitigate mess and his crew always cleans to where you would never know work was done. The employees from this company are very friendly and receptive to any questions related to the work. They came over quickly which made scheduling simple and convenient. I got a new fridge, but want to keep the old fridge in the garage. When I connected to the outlet it shuts off after 15-20 mins. I didn't know what to do so I submitted a quote on Yelp.

Jade Electric stood out the most so I chose them. Tim reached out to me right away. Even though he was on a vacation, he made the time to listen to my issue. He advised to add another circuit which we agreed.

On the day of appointment, he sent out Joseph to install the circuit. It only took about a couple of hours and now the fridge is working perfectly!

I needed a 220 circuit and outlet brought from the breaker box at the front of the house all the way to the back of the house on the far side. It was a tricky route for the conduit. Tim and his crew did a great job. Tim was prompt and his crew professional, friendly, and efficient. Very happy I chose Jade Electric.

Within the week I had three great guys come out to my home to install ceiling fans and pendant lights. Nico, Jordan, and Gary were efficient, knowledgeable, and so friendly.
