Joel and his crew are consummate professionals. He was able to diagnose some tricky issues with my home's wiring/circuits (lights blinking/cutting out, appliances shutting off) and propose excellent, long term solutions. Other electricians had previously quoted very high costs for elaborate work - Joel explained that there was a better way and his quote was well below what others had given me.

On the day the work was scheduled, Joel and his crew arrived on time, with full COVID safety gear, ready to work. They made special accomodations to allow us to maintain power in the home offices while they worked - this was crucial as my spouse and I are both working from home.

After a full day's work, everything was working great. No more blinking lights, microwave cooking at full power and the washer/dryer can run without overloading and shutting down.

Throughout the process, Joel made sure to keep me informed if what he was doing and why it was important. He took the effort to actually show me what was wrong and explain what needed to be done.

At the end of the day, I was quite happy. The cost of the work was extremely reasonable (I was expecting it to be a lot more than it actually was). I believe that this was because Joel knows how to efficiently diagnose issues and has the experience to know exactly how to best correct them. He didn't waste any time, didn't try to upsell me things I don't need and treated my whole family with respect.

I will definitely be calling J Powers Electric for any and all future electrician needs.

Joel did such an amazing, CLEAN job installing 4 exterior light fixtures without existing wires and a nest doorbell. He was responsive, very clear in his communication, and arrived on time. I shopped around multiple electricians who wanted to open MULTIPLE holes in the wall and did not include patching. But Joel managed to find a smart and elegant solution to the problem--leaving zero holes to patch! His approach was the most sensible and efficient compared to the 4 electricians I consulted. HIGHLY recommend Joel and his team! Will be reaching out to him for any future electrical needs.

Wow I will absolutely hire these guys again and again. I had them add an outlet and a switch under my sink for my disposal. They made it on a separate breaker really quickly and easily and it was done in 2 hours. They were efficient and kind and did such great work! Everything works perfectly.

Awesome 15 to 20 mins early which I love. The earlier the better. Gave me a quote and didn't go over the original quote which is great seeing that I been out of work since Covid-19 due to being at high risk so money's tight and that's when everything wants to go wrong. Joe and his team were great! We hired them to relocate a GFCI outlet
and pricing was as quoted and installed in a timely manner. They were respectful of our home and safety by all wearing masks and cleaning up any minor debris.

What impressed me most was when work was done Joe explained what he did, why he took that approach and asked if we had any questions. There is no doubt we will be hiring Joe and his team again.

Electricians came and completed the task as assigned which was uninstalling an old ceiling fan and installing a new one. They kept the room cleaned and helped dispose of old ceiling fan and opened box. Very friendly and on time. Would call back again for any future electrical work.

Joel was fantastic. Really knows his shit! I had him swapping out some light fixtures but also decided to ask him some advice for some audio interference issues I was having in my new house (My husband produces music and we've been having major equipment issues stemming from electrical issues of an old Hollywood house). I highly recommend this great company. I chose to go with them because the communication was clear. The other companies were throwing me high estimates before coming out to assess the problem. One even said they would change our smog detectors. LOL. Our smoke detectors went off in the middle of the night. We tried changing the batteries and re setting but they continued to chirp. The father and son team came out and determined that one was defective setting off the others. That was replaced as well as the carbon monoxide detector closest to the kitchen by a smoke and carbon monoxide detector which was good advice. All the work was done at an extremely reasonable price and they thoroughly vacuumed up the work area.
