I just closed on a new Avex construction home a few weeks ago and found a potentially hazardous electrical problem. When I turn the hallway light on at the bottom of stairs and reach the top of the stairs, neither of the two switches at the top of the stairs will turn the light off. In fact, the stairway light ""flickers"" when the switches are pressed! I literally have to go back downstairs to turn the light off and walk back up the stairs in the dark. On top of that, sometimes the lightswitch downstairs will not even turn the stairway light back off, but rather it will turn the bathroom hall light on! The builder gave me J and J electrics phone number because they are the business that wired the house. When I called, I spoke to a guy named Jeff who told me that Joe handles all of that. I called Joe and left a message explaining the hazard, but have not heard back from him yet.
