Recognizing a need in home automation, Jim sought to support customers bridge the divide between the promised benefits of various products and the true experiences of users, which were often frustrating.
Standard home automation products tended to be proprietary, hard to use, and utilized inefficient interfaces that offered little adaptability and adjustment.
