I made the right choice in hiring IRBIS. I want to thank the company, especially Oleg, technician who came today to fix my AC. He was right on time, very knowledgeable and professional, the cost was reasonable. He also gave me few recommendations on the use of couple other appliances. Amazing experience with IRBIS. Vadim was highly professional and knows his work pretty well. He and his crew came in and got out pretty quickly after replace the gas wall furnace. He went and above and beyond and replaced the gas valve without any additional charge even when it was not in the contract. He was also able to attach the nest thermostat to the heater when everyone else said it cannot be done. He also provided complimentary CO detectors for every room. On top of this he is one of the best people I found doing this job at such a reasonable price. Highly recommend them.

There's nothing like an outstanding professional service to usher you to the weekend. We requested dryer repair on a Thursday and Ryan showed Up The following day Friday. He was running late so he made a courtesy call to notify us that he was on the way.

Upon arrival, he immediately worked to diagnose the problem and several minutes later he pulled a sock stuck in the internal of the dryer. The dryer choked on a black dress sock - not the right chow. Try my mother in law's stocking next time.

I've had trouble recently finding a business that was interested in providing routine maintenance on my furnace and AC unit. The place I had used for years changed owners and became totally focused on sales of new units rather than maintenance and service (though they were not upfront about this, a technician who came out to service my unit confessed to it), and another business I tried afterward basically charged me $150 to change my furnace filter without doing anything else. I am very happy to have found IRBIS! Easy to schedule, on-time arrival, a nice thorough job done, good communication with me the customer throughout, polite and professional. I will definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

I reached out to IRBIS on 2/20/2019 late at night via text for fixing the furnace heater, which would not turn on, and got immediate responses the same night for a noon to 2 pm appointment for the very next day (2/21/2019). Fantastic response time!

Oleg came on a timely manner. He first figured out that I had mis-wired the thermostat that I recently installed by myself, and fixed the wiring. This caused the furnace to turn on.

Secondly, he worked on the problem of the furnace alternating between on and off every 1-2 minutes. He diagnosed correctly that this alternating behavior was actually a safety mechanism in the furnace that caused it to turn off when the motor over-heated, and then turn on when the motor cooled down. Whenever the furnace would turn off, it would turn off the thermostat which was deriving power from the furnace. To avoid this issue of the thermostat turning on and off, we agreed that we can replace the thermostat to one that does not need power from the furnace. Oleg graciously agreed to get one from nearby Home-Depot (which was over and above his call of duty), and installed it.

Thirdly, Oleg figured out that the reason for the motor heating up was a clogged up air filter which prevented normal air flow. After replacing the filter (we had a spare), the motor didn't heat up and the furnace stopped alternating between on-and-off.

The total price was $312 which was very very reasonable as it included the cost of the thermostat which was $102. Other quotes I had were: $710 for the full fix and $140 for just a service visit fee.

If the air filter clog had been discovered sooner, we would not have had to replace the thermostat. This is why I took out 1 star.
