Recommended Customer Reviews

Single worst experience I have had. I must first admit that I never write reviews, good or bad but this company is so terrible that I signed up for yelp specifically to warn people. I use Milestone Electric for almost everything but my contractor convinced me to use Intex as they were his main subcontractor for all of his electrical work. When the Project Manager or lead from Intex arrived, he was rude to my wife and made us feel very uncomfortable. Thinking it was just an introvert personality, we let them proceed. I must say that was our biggest mistake.
We received a bid ahead of our project and agreed to have them proceed. After changing out light switches mostly for color, adding a few dimmers and installing a few chandeliers and light fixtures we began to notice major problems. Prior to them doing the work all of our lights would turn on instantly once the switch was flipped. Now our entire house has a 1-2 second delay before the light goes on. When I called our project lead as instructed by our contractor, we were told it is because of the new light bulbs. He said Fluorescent have a delay when they initially turn on. When I told him no lights were changed out in the process, he stated I was obviously wrong and that the house must have always been on delay. Having just purchased the home and only lived in it for a few days, I believed him. But that is where the problem started and others began to quickly appear. After changing out dimmers, most didn't function properly causing a strobe light effect. They electrician put one side on a dimmer and another on a standard switch. Anyone who knows the switches must match or the switch will not function properly as they compete against each other. Once again we were told that it wasn't possible to do what we were asking. Again we pointed out that all we had done was change out the color of the light switches and dimmers and didn't add anything different than what was already in place. They reluctantly came back and eventually fixed the problem stating it was incorrectly wired by their previous electrician. After each job, the electricians never once picked up the discarded light switches, screws or wiring. We have young kids and everyone knows that loose screws and wires are not the safest thing to have left behind. After having to clean up on multiple occasions, I once again called the project lead to ask that his team clean up prior to departing for the day. I am not asking that the walls be dusted but a simple sweep of the job site should be completed prior to leaving a customer's home. Again, this was never resolved.
As our project progressed, we added a few more lights and sockets not included in the original bid and removed some that were. Not knowing if our bid was still going to be the final price, we awaited a bill from our contractor or from Intex directly. After about 3 weeks went by we received a letter in the mail stating that a lien would be placed against our home for failure to pay for unpaid labor. In addition to terrible workmanship, a very difficult project lead, bad customer service, they threaten us with filing a lien before ever sending a final invoice in my opinion is totally unacceptable.
I use milestone Electric for everything and will continue to do so. I recommend staying as far away from Intex as you can. If you find yourself in a situation where it is between Intex and any other company, I would go with another company in place of them. I promise you will be significantly better off.
