I needed some new tiles in my bathrooms and I hired Innovation to do the work. They did the job quickly and the quality of work was great. No complaints and will probably have them come back to do more work in the future.

He cheats his workers and he will cheat you. I would give negative stars if i could. He sends untrained, unskilled workers and leaves them completely without supervision. His workers show up unannounced at all hours of the day and night and then disappear for weeks at a time. Andrew will take no responsibility for his errors. He messed up the wiring to my doorbell and to my heating system and refused to admit his error or pay for it. Most recently, his ""electrician"" left a live electrical wire exposed in my backyard where my grandchildren and dog play. When the danger was discovered days later by another contractor working in my yard, and i advised Andrew of the situation, even then it was not worth his time to correct the problem. The next day another of his unskilled workers showed up but he had no idea why he was told to come.
The doors he replaced and surrounding millwork and walls have to be completely ripped out and redone.
Even if he completes part of the job satisfactorily, it is way WAY over budget and takes far too long. An honest and professional contractor installed a swimming pool and hot tub in my back yard in 30 working days. He was on site everyday. There were no change orders and no cost overruns. In those same 30 days, innovation construction had completed no work, had written two change orders and had collected over $10,000 prior to delivering materials to work site, which is illegal.
Maybe they can hang mirrors and clean carpets but in my experience their only expertise is in taking your money.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! UNLESS YOU LIKE TO GIVE MONEY AWAY. Tried to get replacement windows. Innovation tried to get a permit and did not succeed. Still charged me for the time. Hired another Company got the Permit and replaced my windows. They just took my money.

Well, jack of all trades: master of nothing. Beware of companies who say they can do it all...maybe they can, but they won't do it well.

* These guys stood me up twice - not even a call to let me know - and now that the work is done, no call or text to ask how happy I might be. Perhaps they know, eh?

** I'm hiring another company to re-do part of it correctly.

First off, I'm not in the San Leandro area. However, I had no choice in dealing with the same company a few hours south in Salinas. This company was used at my previous apartment complex for a washer/dryer unit installation. It was the worst 5 months of my life & the reason why I was allowed to break my lease. Innovation Construction is absolutely careless & sloppy! In the 5 month duration they spent installing the washer/dryer, they left my apartment completely wide open, unattended, & unlocked at 5pm & 8pm. I don't want to get into too many details, but the first time, I spoke with their manager & he swore that his workers never left the cite & basically implied that I was making it all up. In addition to their carelessness in working in others' homes, they made an absolute mess. They stained my carpet, painted my bedroom at least 2 different colors of white/beige, & had to widen my doorframe in which they left a huge section of carpet missing. They punctured holes in the wall behind the washer/dryer unit. Their sloppy workers failed to cover my furniture after about the first few days of working in my apartment, leaving a thick layer of debris from the walls all over. (They had to remodel some of the wall structure.) I guess after taking 5 damn months to install a simple washer/dryer, they made themselves at home & figured they didn't have to care how they left someone else's home. Oh, & by the way, the washer didn't work properly. The center kept falling off & it didn't fill up with cold water, despite the workers saying they would come back to fix it & swore that they had. This is the worst company ever & the reason why I left my apartment complex. I could have done without the washer/dryer if it meant dealing with such unprofessionalism.

I was nervous about hiring people I didn't know, but their professional and friendly manner put me right at ease. Everything was done perfectly, and they had a good idea about installing the large mirrors (36x 60) securely that I wanted flush next to each other (a little of glue and repairing the walls when removing them is much better than the risk of them falling). And they placed the curtain rods over the large shades (72"" wide) just right. Plus, I have a much better understanding of what we need for our electrical outlet for the motion detector.

They were professional, friendly, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves.

When I'm ready to do some other projects, I'll definitely call them again, and I'll recommend them to my friends.

It took Inovation over 6 months to complete my renovation. Do not under any circumtances have a CHANGE ORDER !!! They will not give you a new cost and
my $25,000 job ended up costing me over $40,000.
I would not recommend this outfit because the job they did was not
only costly but equavilant to hiring a handyman. They do not do quality work. I do not mind paying as long as the job is worth what I am paying for.

If you like your home- don't use them! I should have checked YELP before I hired them. The work was shoddy. And they made my house worse. While working on the desk, the guy had an air compressor. I did not realize it until he left (probably because there was wood and saw dust everywhere), I saw oil splattered on my nice composite deck. I called them back and told them about it. They blamed me and well, I know I did not have oil spots on my deck. I am furious at they way they handled this. BEWARE!

This review is not about the quality of their work or pricing. It is about the reckless driving of one of their employees. I tried to contact the owner, left a message with a woman in the office who seemed very concerned. The owner never contacted me to get any details. This incident involved serious tailgating, speeding/weaving dangerously through rush hour traffic and driving through a red traffic signal that had been red long before it was ignored. This really makes me question the integrity of the owner, his company and operation. I have a sister in law that will be crippled the rest of her life as she was broadsided at an intersection by an employee of a construction company who ignored a traffic light. I would think that an employer would be much more concerned about how his/her employees drive company vehicles......
