Company Overview

Incorporated in the fall of 1987, Industrial Electric Testing began as the testing division of Industrial Electric Construction Company in Florida. James T. Hill, then the Chairman and Owner of IET, subsequently bought Industrial, establishing it as a standalone testing firm.

As a full member of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), IET is part of an ANSI standards body that includes independent electrical testing firms from North America and Canada. IET functions as an impartial test authority, thanks to its full membership in NETA, remaining independent of manufacturers, suppliers, and installers of the evaluated equipment or systems.

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, Industrial's headquarters serves the northern, central, and western parts of Florida and southern Georgia. Since 1994, our Hallandale branch office has been dedicated to servicing the southern section of the state. Our qualified team ensures that every project is completed expertly and on time. Emergency services are available to all customers around the clock, every day of the year.

The mission of Industrial Electric Testing is to support electrical power distribution systems through comprehensive testing, inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair for industrial, commercial, and utility clients. This commitment ensures the integrity of electrical system apparatus in terms of safety and reliability. IET has been involved in this sector for over thirty years. We utilize only test equipment that is well-maintained and in optimal mechanical and electrical condition. All testing instruments are kept calibrated and maintained within their rated accuracy, with precision traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. IET identifies and documents any defective systems, materials, or workmanship discovered during acceptance or maintenance tests, keeps detailed records of all tests, and compiles and certifies a final technical test report.
