Company Overview

Industrial Electric Testing was established in Florida during the autumn of 1987 as the testing branch of Industrial Electric Construction Company. James T. Hill, who was the Chairman of the Board and Owner of IET, later acquired Industrial and transformed it into an independent testing entity.

As a full member of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), IET is part of an ANSI standards body that includes independent electrical testing firms from North America and Canada. As a full member of NETA, IET serves as an unbiased testing authority, independent of manufacturers, suppliers, and installers of the systems or equipment under evaluation.

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, Industrial's headquarters serves the northern, central, and western parts of Florida and southern Georgia. Since 1994, we have operated a branch office in Hallandale to support the southern region of the state. Our skilled and professional workforce guarantees the timely and expert completion of every project. Emergency services are available to all customers around the clock, every day of the year.

Our goal at Industrial Electric Testing is to ensure the reliability of electrical power distribution systems through extensive testing, inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair for all industrial, commercial, and utility clients. We do this to uphold the integrity of electrical system apparatus concerning safety and reliability. For more than three decades, IET has been active in this field. At Industrial Electric Testing, we use only test equipment that is in top mechanical and electrical condition. All testing instruments are kept calibrated and maintained within their rated accuracy, with precision traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. IET identifies and documents any defective systems, materials, or workmanship discovered during acceptance or maintenance tests, keeps detailed records of all tests, and compiles and certifies a final technical test report.
