I studied a lot and focused on REC Alpha 365AA panels system and worked with 5 REC installers, but other REC installers will only use IQ7+ microinverter.

IQ7+ is rated at 290w / 290VA continuous power output, will have significant clipping, when paired with high power panels, to effectively lower system production. Caitlin at Ilum solar is the only one willing to work with me to upgrade to IQ7A, with great system price, fantastic installation time and 7 days a week personal custom service.

I highly recommend this company if you're going solar. The costs are very upfront with no surprises. The documentation process is simple and handled by their department. The installation is painless. And the panels are of a much better quality than what Tesla will sell you. I believe the customer service is really great. With a project like this that includes permits and contracts with PG&E, there are bound to be some hiccups, but this company overcame snags with little effort on my part, albeit with a handful of delays that I suppose can't be helped. Tyler Thomason is the point of contact that I worked with. I would just ask for him if you want to keep things moving.

After interviewing numerous companies, we decided to go with Ilum Solar.. our sales rep was Tyler.. it worked out well from the beginning to the end... Price was a big concern.. we also wanted a company that has decent reviews.. Tyler answered all our questions .. sent over the bid and then the contacts. I think everything took about 45 days or so... We ended up adding an additional 14 panels to the 26 we already had.... Tyler came through in the end when we had to get our 25 year Solaredge warranty... I would use this company again in the future or even recommend a friend to give Tyler a quick call for pricing ..
