Tom Kretzschmar, President, is an alumnus of Southwest Texas State University, a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and an Industry Partner with the American Society of Interior Designers. Kretzschmar's background traces back to one of Texas' oldest and most esteemed electrical contracting firms, Rulon Electric, founded by his grandfather over 65 years ago. Upon graduating from Southwest Texas State University, Kretzschmar polished his abilities at Rulon and launched Illuminations Lighting Design in 1980. Initially, Illuminations specialized in fine art illumination and cabinetry, but rapidly grew to include all varieties of creative lighting solutions, including landscape lighting and residential electrical contracting. Tom has been granted three US Patents for bespoke lighting fixtures, available internationally under the Phantom Lighting Systems trademark.
