We had no choice but to use IES as our electrical/smart home vendor when we built a home with Highland Homes. Had I known what a problem it was going to be, I might have bought a home from someone else. IES has been nothing but trouble. To start with, none of the items included in our ""smart"" home have the ability to communicate with each other. That is the whole point of a smart home!
After we moved in, it was FIVE WEEKS before IES would bother to send anyone out. Their tech was rude and tried to get away with doing the least amount of work possible. He tried to stick one of the network repeaters right next to my wifi router because the cable run would be shorter!
The installer left with all sort of problems unaddressed and half of our stuff not working. I have been trying for 2 weeks to get them to come back and fix things.
It has been a nightmare.
Avoid IES!!! If your home builder uses this company, demand that they use someone else on your home or walk away!!!
