Ideal has just replaced my hot water heater, the pressure regulator to my condo unit, the shut off valve to my unit and the innards of a fussy toilet. They did a great job, and though they are not the cheapest choice around, they stand by their work and it is always first quality. i appreciate the fact that my garage floor was cleaner after they replaced the water heater then it was before they started work. Anytime I have had a large job that I wanted done, I have called Ideal for almost 30 years.

I've used Ideal plumbing services for many years, primarily to service my tankless water heater; the heater core expired after 5 or 6 years and the manufacturer warranty covered the heater core at no cost to me however it was my responsibility to pay for installation. Said manufacturer also required I install a water softening system or have the unit serviced annually; the $200.00 annual service charge was a bit much & after a little investigating I located Dover plumbing & dealt with owner who stated they would flush the system for considerably less, I even supplied the 5 gallons of vinegar. Yahoo I saved some bucks......NOT the unit failed to heat properly & I called Ideal to do the service right. Their technicians are courteous, professional and on time.

Recently had Ideal out to do our yearly service on ouor A/C unit. The news is that they have kept it running for several years, but it was time to put the old one out of it's pain.
The Ideal team gave us an estimate on replacement, and gave us the documentation about how much it might save us each month. The installation went terrific. The workers, the workmanship, the follow up and training and the confidence we got from our install was all top notch.
With the new systems our utility bills are over 20% lower, and with the rebates that they found for us, our system will pay for iteself in under a year.
I will say I beleive that Ideal is the best in San Diego. Don't waste you time looking around. Go with the Ideal solution.

An update on my previous review: I was contacted by the owner who explained the situation to me. He was professional and helpful and we sorted everything out. Since the drain was unclocked in a timely fashion and I feel that they deal with me fairly, I have updated my rating. It is nice to see a company that really cares about customer complaints!
