In the past 3 weeks I have used Hurley's twice. They initially came out to install a light fixture that I had manufactured in Scandanavia and shipped to me that I ""large name"" electrical company in Austin misidentified as being wired to EU standards rather than US standards (which I requested). I took it to an expert in re-wiring in Austin and that company confirmed it was, in fact, wired to US standards. I didn't want a repeat with ""large name"" electrical company and asked them for a recommendation and they - without pause - sent me the contact information for Hurley's. I called them - and they came onsite shortly after and hung that light fixture for me and replaced a switch-plate I needed to be repaired. They were above-and-beyond kind, confident, assured - and explained so many things to me in a way that I - someone who does not play with electrical appliances - could understand. I felt so comfortable with them I also asked about my ""electrical breaker box"" which Jason responded to me with ""I was going to mention that to you after I replaced your light."" I had an electrical panel that is well-documented to have faults where breakers don't trip during overheating or - I think the term is surges. He gave me an absolutely fair and amazing price and got me on the schedule pretty quickly. Jason, and his son, Jake, came back out to my house to replace my documented and known potentially faulty electrical box and did a truly wonderful job. They know how to explain the ""electricity"" parts to me as someone that doesn't care to understand electricity because - it's not my dance space and I'm not messing with it. They clean up after themselves - they go above-and-beyond - they are so dang kind and helpful that it's amazing. They did a truly amazing job and I'm already talking to them about ""nice-to-haves"" I'd like to explore. As a closing thought - I cannot help but mentioning how much I absolutely love a Dad/Son team (Jason/Jake) coming on-site and getting to watch a Dad/Son team work together and a father teaching his son his expertise. It's not material to the expertise that this company provides - but it's really dang awesome to witness and see.

Jason explained everything very clearly and showed us exactly where the problems were and how he planned to fix them. He offered recommendations and choices on what needed to be done. Jason Hurley, the owner, is a master electrician. I needed a few ceiling fans installed and a light fixture replaced. He responded promptly, called in advance to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time. He was friendly, professional and reasonably priced. He listened to my concerns and suggested a few alternatives. He even called ahead to to set up another vendor when we discovered that one of my fixtures needed modification to fit properly. He was also extremely neat, sweeping up any debris that fell from the ceiling. I've already booked him for some additional work. Would highly recommend him for any electrical work.
