I called Bill on a weekend when 1/3 of my house lost electricity. I chose him specifically to support local small business. He contacted me within an hour and within 2 hours was at my house.
He said he would charge $150 per hour to find the problem and extra to fix it.
It took him 1 1/2 hours to ""find the problem"" and he charged $300.
He said a wire needed to be replaced and it was very complicated .. he would contact me next week with a price for the repair.
A couple of days later, he quoted $1,200 to fix the problem.

I called another electrician who located the problem in 49 minutes .. in a completely different area than where Bill said the problem was.
The other electrician had the problem fixed in 45 minutes.
Total time 1 hour 25 minutes .. he charged me $250 and the problem was solved.

I'm a senior citizen and I don't appreciate people trying to take advantage me.

I wouldn't recommend calling Hunter Electric.

Bill Hunter is an excellent electrician. He responds right away and tries to fit you in his busy schedule. He did a great job taking care of our electric issues in a timely manner. I will recommend Hunter Electric to anyone that needs their electric issues resolve right away.

It's easy to recommend Bill Hunter, he is prompt, experienced and professional. I found Hunter Electric searching on Yelp for help with a GFCI outlet and breaker. Another company I had used before told me it would be a few weeks of waiting, but Bill was able to stop by in the late afternoon the same day and resolve the problem. He clearly explained the work performed and diagnosed the issue without wasting time, excellent service.

I have used Hunter Electric for 2 years now and they continue to perform at the highest level of excellence. The work is first rate and up to code, not the usual ""handyman"" quality that worked on my home before I purchased it.

Bill Hunter owner, makes great suggestions, for example, I replaced my numerous overhead lighting fixtures for dimmable recessed lighting per his suggestion with a specific light tone. The finished job gave a soft yet true light making the home look very warm.

You always get the owner when Hunter Electric shows up, a reasonable price, quality workmanship, and on time.

Give them a try next time the situation warrants quality work done right, up to code, and always done right the first time.

Bill was excellent. I called asking a few questions, was honest and knowledgeable. I asked if he could come and give me a quote, hopefully that day and he was able to even come that afternoon. Quoted me, gave me a time slot for the next week and showed up on time that day ready to work. He knocked it out that same day like he said and the 30A outlets work great. I would recommend him to anyone and he will be returning to add more circuits in the future when I expand my business. He already ran a spare conduit so running for the future will be easy and he won't have to open the wall again. Also, the drywall guys were able to patch up the wall easily.

I had lost power to part of my home and was in a bind to get it fixed after hours. Thankfully, Bill was available. He gave me an estimated timeframe and text me updates when he was on his way and when he arrived. He found and fixed the issue quickly. Great communication, friendly, and efficient.. what more can you ask for?

On Friday before Mother's Day weekend we had a partial power outage in our home. I contacted Bill with Hunter Electric and he was so helpful. He tried to assist me over the phone by walking me through both troubleshooting and installing a new gfci outlet. Unfortunately it didn't work. He graciously squeezed us into his schedule and came out, troubleshot, and repaired our problem. It turned out to be a multitude of issues and he fixed them all. The care and outstanding customer service we received was above and beyond and I'll definitely use them again. Thank you so much Bill for fixing our problems.

And when it wasn't positive, he had a response that was direct and to the point. I thought, ""I like direct and honest people, maybe he is."" Well, he is!
