This guy is the real deal! Friendly, knowledgeable, and quality work at a good price.

We have a tortoise, and being a cold-blooded animal, it needs a heater for cold nights. We have one setup in a small shack in the backyard, connected to an outdoor GFI outlet. Well, the outlet stopped working at 8:30 PM on a Saturday night, and we needed an electrician ASAP.

My wife and I called a bunch, in parallel, that were advertised as 24/7, but either the calls weren't picked up or no one was available. We reached Bill at Hunter Electric, and he tried to walk us through some solutions first over the phone. When that didn't work, he drove out to the house, and replaced the outlet. We now have a working heater for our tortoise. On top of this, he provided some advice on which cables to purchase to replace the improperly rated ones we had in the setup.

We will definitely be using Hunter Electric for all our future electrical enhancements and issues and emergencies. We're both very happy with the work, advice, and value.

Bill Hunter of Hunter Electric is AMAZING! I just called him because a third of the plugs died last night. I sent him a picture of my electrical panel and he immediately told me what the problem was: when I used my microwave last night, it overloaded all the appliances (mainly extra fans, a room AC) on the circuit. He explained what happened clearly and how to avoid it in the future.
I offered to pay him and he said - ""just pay it forward"". What a great electrician and Human! I will be highly recommending Hunter Electric to everyone I know!

Bill Hunter is a lifesaver!!!

Friday night 10:30pm, picks up the phone (miracle in and of itself), has me take photos of my electrical panel and restores power to the half of the house that was no longer working!! absolutely amazing!! who could ask for anytgjng more???

well, not to mention he was ready to ask his buddy to open his shop over the weekend to get a circuit breaker, offered to come out over the weekend to fix my problem (way way way outside his normal service radius to boot) then solved it over text and photo without a visit - gracious of his time with me - oh my wow!!!

I will call Bill for anything electrical ever.needed.in.future.period.

Very responsive. Changed 5 smoke detectors for me. They were located very high on the ceiling and he had no hesitation about climbing the ladder.

Responsive and honest. My tenant complained that the garage outlet for W/D wasn't working. My regular electrician ignored multiple attempts to contact him. So on Yelp, I found Hunter Electric nearby and asked tenant to call him. He was prompt and could easily have charged me to replace the outlet. Instead he called to tell me there's nothing wrong with it. Just a service call. Wish I could give the tenant 1 star, though.

I called Bill on a weekend when 1/3 of my house lost electricity. I chose him specifically to support local small business. He contacted me within an hour and within 2 hours was at my house.
He said he would charge $150 per hour to find the problem and extra to fix it.
It took him 1 1/2 hours to ""find the problem"" and he charged $300.
He said a wire needed to be replaced and it was very complicated .. he would contact me next week with a price for the repair.
A couple of days later, he quoted $1,200 to fix the problem.

I called another electrician who located the problem in 49 minutes .. in a completely different area than where Bill said the problem was.
The other electrician had the problem fixed in 45 minutes.
Total time 1 hour 25 minutes .. he charged me $250 and the problem was solved.

I'm a senior citizen and I don't appreciate people trying to take advantage me.

I wouldn't recommend calling Hunter Electric.

Bill Hunter is an excellent electrician. He responds right away and tries to fit you in his busy schedule. He did a great job taking care of our electric issues in a timely manner. I will recommend Hunter Electric to anyone that needs their electric issues resolve right away.
