I called Bill on a Saturday afternoon after my DIY installing of smart light switches went totally wrong. He was at my house in minutes and fixed all my errors quickly and without making me feel like a total moron! He offered many additional tips and checked for safety issues throughout while he worked. I will definitely call before I DIY next time!!

Called this company, set an appointment, agreed on the price . He showed up and after 30 min. before leaving Bill decided to open electric panel and check , not sure exactly what he was looking for , but after 2 min of touching screws he closed panel and said that panel tune up is additional $80 . He didn't ask me before if I need it and of course never mentioned that it is additional $80 . I wasn't in the mood of arguing and just paid . So my advice if you decided to call there make sure you verify all information before appointment and price in order to avoid this put together program.

When my dryer outlet wasn't working, I checked Yelp for reviews for an honest, reasonably priced electrician and found Bill at Hunter Electric. He was here in less than 30 minutes from the time I called and fixed my problem right away for a fair price. I'm grateful to have found him and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to everyone. We an essential business that provides critical mental health services in Ventura County during the COVID 19 pandemic. We had an electrical emergency that limited our Telehealth services. But Hunter Electric came out within 15 minutes and fixed the problem and we were back up and running. Most importantly is his great attitude and flexibility. Bill Hunter is now my family's #1 electrician! Everyone should add him to your 'go-to' professionals list. I was referred by friends to 3 other electricians and not one returned any of my calls -- so I looked on Yelp & found Bill. He actually answered his phone when I called and he was at my house within an hour. I even got to meet Bill's precious daughter who was very polite and respectful.
Bill is a family man and he seems to have good old fashioned values that I appreciate as a customer.

We had a problem with one of our circuits after normal business hours. We had not used Hunter Electric previously but noted he was available after normal business hours, was close to our location and had good Yelp reviews.
Bill showed up on time and fixed the issue in short order. Despite being after hours he was very pleasant to deal with and his fee was reasonable for being called out at night.
He's definitely our electrician going forward.

Little did we know when we called Bill Hunter to wire the garage in our new (for us) house, that we would have Bill on our speed dial and call him to fix numerous electrical problems we discovered with our home. He has done great work on many things, ranging from installing a 220 volt line to our garage for our car charger, replacing light fixtures, removing old substandard wiring additions, adding several outlets, replacing bathroom fans and heaters, and fixing multiple hazardous old wiring updates.
Bill listened to our concerns, addressed them all, and even fixed the extras things we thought of while he was already in the middle of the job. We will certainly be calling Bill again, and highly recommend Hunter Electric.

Bill was highly recommended by a salesperson at Lowe's, I needed a light installed in my kitchen and loved his reviews on Yelp and the word of mouth review I received from Lowe's. I can't testify to Bill's quality of work as I made 2 different appointments, taking off work to get a quote on the job and was cancelled on twice at the last minute. Again, his work might be amazing but the wasted time with scheduled appointments, lost time at work and still no light installed seemed a bit unprofessional to me.
Correction - First appointment, cancelled because he was stuck longer at another job. Second Appointment, attempted to reschedule at the time of the appt, no call earlier to let me know he was running late, Bill is correct though, he didn't cancel, he attempted to schedule an hour later when I had already taken time off work for the planned time.

I got a call on Saturday evening from my mother saying she had no power in 3 rooms, I told her I'd go over the next morning. I checked her breakers but none were tripped. I called my son he came over to use his meter to check the power. Looked like one of the breakers was dead. We went to Lowes bought 2 changed it, nothing. I believed Edison was only responsible for the power poles and lines from those. So I went online and found some good reviews for Bill Hunter and he was available 24/7. He answered and said he was at a job and could come by next day Monday. My parents are super seniors they are 85 and 92 one of them can't hear and the other can't see, so I was concerned about who was coming to their house and would they be taken advantage of. Bill arrived and Immediately put my mom at ease, he was professional and helped determine the issue. He went so far as to help my son prepare for the work Edison needed to do. If I have a need for an electrician I will call him again. My parents are now preparing to call him to install some much needed outlets. Thankyou again Bill
