Company Overview

Humphrey & Associates is based in multiple areas, such as Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, and Yantis, located in East Texas. We offer a range of services including Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering/Design, Preventative/Proactive Maintenance, Lighting Management, and Personnel/Safety Management. Our focus spans commercial, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, healthcare, and residential sectors. Our skilled team designs, constructs, and maintains Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems across all industry sectors.

Humphrey & Associates started its journey in Dallas, Texas, on April 1, 1977, as an Electrical Contractor focused on the Dallas/Ft. Worth construction markets. Since we started, our growth has been steady and well-managed. Our dedication to collaboration and engagement in the construction community has allowed us to grow and diversify.

In April 1981, fifty percent of the common stock, excluding Steve Humphrey's shares, was acquired by the Humphrey & Associates Inc. Stock Ownership Plan and Trust. This means that our employees, referred to as Associates, own 50 percent of the company. Once employees reach one year of service, they begin to earn shares, thus becoming part-owners of Humphrey & Associates. In 1981, the corporation made a significant move by gifting half the stock to employees through an employee stock ownership plan, truly embodying the term ""associates"".

Initially, H&A focused solely on electrical contracting and design projects within the Metroplex; in 1986, we expanded by opening a branch office in Mt. Pleasant. In 1995, we added a mechanical group, providing customers with a complete MEP team package; later in the '90s, we opened a principal office in Fort Worth and another branch in Denton. Every new service we introduce, whether past or future, aims to improve our customer service.

H&A is a family-run business, but it competes on a significant level. The management team regards the core 310 ""associates"" as our most valuable resource. The board of directors and a managing executive committee, consisting of seven vice presidents and branch managers, have an average tenure of 25 years together, which is quite rare in the construction industry. The average employment duration for the rest of our team is 8.5 years.
