Company Overview

Humphrey & Associates operates from various locations, including Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, and Yantis in East Texas. Our services encompass Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering/Design, Preventative/Proactive Maintenance, Lighting Management, and Personnel/Safety Management. Our focus spans commercial, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, healthcare, and residential sectors. Our skilled team designs, constructs, and maintains Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems across all industry sectors.

On April 1, 1977, Humphrey & Associates launched in Dallas, Texas, as an Electrical Contractor catering to the Dallas/Ft. Worth construction markets. From the beginning, we have experienced consistent and measured growth. By fostering teamwork and involvement in the construction community, we have been able to expand and diversify.

In April 1981, fifty percent of the common stock, excluding Steve Humphrey's shares, was acquired by the Humphrey & Associates Inc. Stock Ownership Plan and Trust. Consequently, our employees, called Associates, possess 50 percent of the company's shares. Once employees reach one year of service, they begin to earn shares, thus becoming part-owners of Humphrey & Associates. In 1981, the company took a notable step by gifting half the stock to employees via an employee stock ownership plan, genuinely reflecting the term ""associates"".

At first, H&A specialized in electrical contracting and design projects in the Metroplex; in 1986, we broadened our reach by opening a branch office in Mt. Pleasant. In 1995, we introduced a mechanical group, offering a comprehensive MEP team package; subsequently, in the '90s, we established a principal office in Fort Worth and another branch in Denton. With every additional service, both historically and moving forward, we strive to better serve our customers.

While H&A is a family-owned business, it is not a small player in the industry. Our management team considers the core group of 310 ""associates"" to be our greatest asset. The board of directors and a managing executive committee of seven vice presidents and branch managers enjoy an average tenure of 25 years together, an uncommon advantage in the construction field. For the rest of our workforce, the average employment duration is 8.5 years.
