We had huft heating and air give us a estimate for an hvac replacement and they were the best Trevor Gannon took the time to explain how the system will work and showing me our 42 yr old ductwork was coming lose and tearing We had the hvac and duct work replaced the next day the installers did an excellent job explaining the new system with no issues I highly recommend huft heating and air and will use them for all my hvac tuneups

My tenants noticed a leak in one of the bathroom sinks so I found Huft from Yelp. Unfortunately, these days all plumbers seem to charge a fee just to show up which I can understand.

These guys' fee was not totally unreasonable for $79, a few places wanted $200 just to show up. That amount usually will apply towards the repairs, which is fine if your repairs go beyond that initial cost.

In my case, the repair turned out to be quite simple and strictly labor. The technician was very upfront and honest and said there was only a locknut for the popup assembly which had come loose. He even admitted it was a very quick fix and said minimum charge is the $79 fee I mentioned above. His name is Manuel and I really appreciate his no frills assessment, there was no attempt to try and sell me something I did not need. He also tested the sink afterwards to make sure there was no more leaking.

I will bookmark these guys for any future plumbing needs, they have earned my trust and will have my business going forward. Also, their Yelp message response time was by far the quickest of all the companies I contacted for this project. Great experience all around.

Carlos D in Electrical is a superstar. I watched him deal with arrogant SMUD employees that cursed at his Install guys. The SMUD employee then refused to turn the electricity back on for the customer until later. He got in his truck and left.

Carlos went above and beyond what customers ever get to see. Him going to bat against utilities for his customer. A real value you don't see in an invoice.

His employees should also know how he stood up for them.

Carlos is also a community minded employee being a liason to the youth activities in Elk Grove and Hufts support of these activities.

Today Huft Home Services came out to finish our new gas line installation.
They gave us a great price quotes, pulled the necessary permits, and did a fantastic job.
For the first time in my life. I have a gas stove, and I love it!

Service Call:
Anthony was a great professional, with great customer service. A very knowledgeable technician and explained everything thoroughly. He was detailed in every aspect of the service call. I cannot speak highly enough of his service. Just awesome.

Replacement installation:
Kevin and Viktor came in on time and completed the installation ahead of schedule. They were thoroughly professional and communicated completely when any question arised. They provided excellent customer service, and did a great job, including clean up. Definitely a team that a customer can rely on. I can't speak highly enough for their service. Super Great Job!!!

Update:
Needed a service call on the heater on Sunday, Angel came out and identified the problem and was knowledgeable about the issue being a known problem with the manufacturer. He promptly made the necessary repairs, and adjustments to correct the problem. I am satisfied with the handling of the call out. Angel was professional and even helped with pairing of the sensors.... Just another quality response.

I did receive a call from the manager/owner and he did acknowledge some mistakes were made with the quote and he offered to try and make up for it by lowering the quote to a more reasonable amount. I do appreciate his call but in the end the quote he gave me was not really competitive with others I had received and my trust level still isn't where it needed to be for me to do business with Huft. I think after my experience the right move for him, in my own opinion, was to at least match existing quotes for the job and perhaps throw in a little something (which he did offer via free HVAC inspections/cleaning going forward but I didn't want to commit to HUFT for my HVAC needs in the future). Overall, I appreciate that mistakes were eventually acknowledged but my overall experience hasn't changed because just not enough was done to overcome the negative initial experience with the company.

It was time for a plumbing check-up. Truth is I expected 10 minutes to see that water was running and my Huft plumber would be done. Joseph came in and did a full check. He explained what he was doing and why. He looked at the instant water heater and the whole house water filtering system. We had mineral build up so he showed us how to clear the filter and get back to clean, clear water. This guy was good, smart and pleasant. I'm impressed. Each time we have Huft service it's been helpful to the function of our household. Totally worth the time and cost.
