I have used Huffman Electric over the past 12 years and find him to be reasonable in pricing, responsive to calls and very pleasant to work with.
If it is an emergency, like defective breaker, he arrives quickly often very late to restore electric. I have recommended him to friends and neighbors who are pleased with his work.

Bobby Huffman of Huffman Electric came to my house to give me an estimate on some electrical work for my kitchen remodel. He seemed very aloof, disconnected, and distant from things as I walked through with him what I needed done. After we went through the ideas I had I asked if he could do this kind of work alone. He replied that sometimes for jobs like this he has his father help him with things. I can only imagine how old he must be as ""Bobby"" must be in his late 50's himself.
I also got estimates from a few other companies and they were much lower than what Huffman Electric quoted me. Once I had decided to go with Brevard Electric. During the time I was interviewing other electrician companies Bobby showed up at my house unannounced and smelling of alcohol and demanded on when he was going to be able to start the project. It was very creepy and frightened my girlfriend who was home at the time when he came to the door. After finding this out I notified Bobby that I had picked another company to go with to let him know which I thought was the most professional route to take. Mr. Huffman became very angry at my decision and hung up on me after an unpleasant exchange of words on his part.
Shortly after my kitchen remodel began I was notified by the town that Mr. Huffman had contacted the local building department and maliciously made false accusations about how the work that I was planning on having done inside my home was illegal. The project was delayed for a couple weeks while I straightened things out with the town and educated them on exactly what I was having done which was a simple kitchen remodel and in no way illegal at all!
My strong advice is to not use Huffman Electric at all! I wouldn't even contact them for an estimate because if you decide to go in a direction with another company he will attempt to blackmail you and go behind your back and lie about your plans to delay or cause big problems for your planned project. What kind of person does things like this in such a small town where word like this gets around?
Stay far, far away from Bobby and Huffman Electric or you may be very sorry you ever dealt with them in the end.
