I found Huey's on yelp when searching for a quote for under the cabinet range hood install. Hugo responded and came by quickly after few moments to take a look. His quote was very reasonable so I decided to go with him. I'm glad I did! Very honest and respectful guy. He even brought his own plywood for reinforcement to ensure the cabinet is able to carry the weight of the range hood. He wanted to get it done the right way. I'm very satisfied. I called Huey to make an appointment to have some doors installed. He gave me a quote and we made an appt. He texted me the night before to tell me he needed to reschedule because he had so many other jobs. So he rescheduled for the next morning. Then I get another message saying he had to help his family with moving chairs for a party. If he had to do this why would he schedule my 2nd appt on that same day he had to move chairs. It did not make any sense. Then he texts me to feel free to find someone else because he was too busy. Wow, if this is not being IRRESPONSIBLE I don't know what is. I responded that he should not reschedule his potential clients and cancel twice. Not Good Business. When a contractor pulls this type of thing on new customers, it doesn't make me want to seek their service at any time in the future. In business, One happy customer brings many new ones from referrals. One unhappy customer will share on yelp and probably make others think about it before contracting this type of contractor/handyman.

Hey gets 1 star only because you can't continue this review whitout a rating...called Huey a week before we got the keys to our new home and we agreed he would come out and give us an estimate on the repairs the we needed. He continued to text me that week to verify weather we had keys yet so he could come out which made me think he was serious about he job which in turn made me trust him more...Well here we are a week later and still no Huey the handyman, no phone calls or text to update the reasons for not showing up it's like he fell of the face of the earth....Huey also understood we needed to be done with the work before we moved in and everytime i would remind him of that he would ""yes no problem"".... Would not recommend Huey to you...Had to call Rick's home repair which pushed back the repairs 2 extra days but Rick got the work done and showed up on time and on the day he said he would...Some advice to Huey, ""as my 90 year old father thought me..learn to be a man of your word that's all a man has...""

Huey came out to fix my back door. Seems to be really knowledgeable. Gave me a really good suggestion and drove me to Home Depot to pick up an additional part because I didn't know which part to get. That way I didn't have to keep going back and forth to get the correct one. I appreciated that!
