If negative stars existed, Joe would have them all.

First off, let me say this: I, George Everglades, call Joe Howells for a simple, life-or-death electrical job. And what happens? Nothing. He ""doesn't know who I am."" Excuse me, Joe?! I'm George Everglades--veterinary powerhouse, reality show star, friend of legends, and an absolute titan in this town. And he ghosts me like I'm some random schmuck off the street.

And don't get me started on the wardrobe. Joe's entire existence is an unholy shrine to Billabong shirts. The Facebook pics are haunting. Seriously, Joe, how many poorly fitted surf shirts does one man need? The whole ""discount surf instructor chic"" look might work in, oh, 1998, but in this century? It's like he hit the clearance bin of an outlet mall and said, ""Yes, this is the vibe."" Nothing screams ""unreliable contractor"" like showing up to a job dressed like you're about to hit the beach--minus the ocean and the tan.

Long story short: if you need a guy who dresses like a lost spring breaker, ""forgets"" local celebrities, and misses appointments like it's his personal brand, Joe's your guy.

I was referred to Joe Howell by a contractor that I trust implicitly. Joe first came to my home to troubleshoot an electrical problem. He was on time, professional and fun to work with. I engaged Joe to replace my internal electric panel. He and his younger partner Joe showed up on time (early in truth) to complete the job. They completed the job at the time they projected, the wiring was perfect and installed with precision and clarity. Joe, the younger partner, spent a lot of time testing all of the connections and labeling the panel in a clear manner. The finished product was better than I could have hoped for.

Joe also arranged to have a drywall person follow his work to bring the wall together perfectly - drywall, texture and painted! Everything worked seamlessly as Joe had promised and I can't imagine using anyone else in the future for electrical work. Thanks Joe (and Joe!). Great Job!

1year ago I used this company.
This year it was a total opposite ..
I Called for 2 weeks to get on schedule. No return calls then Joe sends me a text message he is on vacation for a week. I called office again and asked and they said he is working and that they are UNAWARE of him being on vacation. We used him 2 other times that is the reason I called Howells.
If he is so busy to put us on the schedule for our small job at least have your office say that in the first place when we call. . I do not believe the on vacation excuse. That was his reason last month when I called him and was put off for 1 week. We had to wait and no call back at that time either. I guess it should have been a sign.
Will not use him again nor will I be referring him any longer.

Just had Joe Howell and his assistant, also Joe, out to convert two recessed ceiling lights to ceiling fans in our family room. They did an excellent job and showed up a little earlier than their expected arrival time, it took less time than anticipated, and the cost was considerably less than what we were expecting. I would highly recommend Howell Electric to anyone that is looking for an electrician.

I've used Howells Electric several times and owe them this review. I am so tired of the so called ""professionals"" who say they will be at my home & either don't show up or are late & don't call to inform me of their time constraints. Howells has always been on time, professional and best of all, clean up their mess when they are finished! Their pricing is excellent and I can tell you they know what they are doing. I wont use any other electrical provider but Howells!

I have been using Joe Howell for the last 2 years at one of my communities in Indian Wells As an on site property manager, Howell's is reliable, dependable and is very responsive. Joe answers his phone or calls back promptly. Super knowledgeable and will figure out whatever the issue might be. Highly recommend and would give him 10 stars if I could.
