I wish I'd read the reviews prior to requesting service from Horst Electric. I'm so annoyed! I scheduled my appointment with Horst over the phone about a week before the appointment July 21. I told him the nature of my request that my Ring Doorbell Pro wasn't working and I needed help to figure out what was wrong. My husband and I had tried everything to get it to work and believed the problem was electrical. I took the morning off of work to be home for the appointment. My appointment was between 7:30&8am. Finally when nobody had shown up by 9am I phoned, and they said they thought my appointment was the following week, which I didn't buy since we had confirmed the specific date and time. They said they could get somebody to my house very shortly because I mentioned I needed to leave home no later than 10:45 which is why I'd made the original appointment for early morning. I was promised somebody would be there well before the time I needed to leave. Still by 10am nobody had shown up. Then a few minutes later somebody showed up who had no idea why he was at my house. This was the most unprepared serviceman I've ever encountered. He didn't know or care what my request was. Because he was so late arriving I needed to leave while he was still working so I asked a friend to stay at the house while he finished, which in itself was a huge inconvenience for me. He also didn't seem to care that because he was so late and I had to explain the request to him that this then made me late to my next appointment, which is incredibly rude and disrespectful of my time as well as others'. I was leery of leaving the house with him still working since I didn't want him to leave prior to the job being finished. When I returned home he had already left, and my doorbell still didn't work. He replaced the transformer, but that didn't appear to be the issue. I couldn't tell him this though because he had already left. It was as if nothing had been done! The setup of the Ring is quite basic so that wasn't the problem. Now I'm left with a doorbell that still doesn't work and a random non-itemized bill for $145. I do NOT recommend this company!

Horst Electric is a reliable company well worthy of recommendation. Willie and Francisco have done excellent electrical work at our rental properties and primary residence. Among other things, WIllie did a great job installing electrical panels. He was courteous, efficient, honest and very experienced. Francisco did some exterior and interior lighting and installed a couple of light switches and outlets. He did a fantastic job as well and is also very good at his job. They were both very patient and answered all of our questions, their prices were more than fair, and they worked quickly but efficiently.

BEST SERVICE EVER... Horst and his team have gone out of their way to provide me with great quality work on several occasions. They are fast, neat, professional, polite, and most of all, they know their stuff.
I worked at a large fabrication company several years ago where Horst was hired to build a major grid for a new machining department. In a matter of days I watched them build this magnificent work-of-art series of conduits and drops. When everything went online, the system worked flawlessly.
Since then, I asked them to rewire my kitchen, then later my family room, and just recently our bathroom, he has also done large jobs at my parents' and my aunt's homes. Everything has always been done exactly as we asked.
I am very particular about contractors, but they are the rare company that always comes through for me, and always at an extremely reasonable price.
At this point, I am pretty sure that every one of his guys has been to my house for one project or another. And I can honestly say that each one of them have been outstanding.
From what I understand, they have all worked for Horst for many years, which says a lot about the type company he runs. I always believe that the quality of work starts from the top.

We called Horst Electric because we had a few problems we wanted to take care of. They were very courteous and friendly. They also know their business and promptly came out the next day. This was during the big heat wave we were having and they ended up being called away on an emergency call. They finished all the inside work and promised to be back as soon as possible, leaving us the worker's cell number in case of problems. We didn't hear from them that day but came home the next to find all the outside work completed! Our son had given them permission to go into our backyard. We received our bill in the mail and were very pleased with it. Everything was itemized and as promised. Thanks Horst Electric!

The billings are very high, and the work is mediocre. Horst is a pretty volatile guy if you ask about a bill.

My experience with Horst thus far has been fantastic! Horst contacted me about what I needed done (circuit breaker kept tripping) and sent Francisco out to investigate. Francisco quickly figured out what needed to be done and had me all fixed up in no time. I won't hesitate to recommend Horst Electric to any of my friends.

I don't recommend Horst Electric. They tend to over-bill for time, and Horst gets his temper up if you dare question any billings. I've had much better service and prices from other electricians.

Horst, Willie and all the other guys are great. Very fairly priced, on time, and honest. My company (Cornett Plumbing and Heating, INC) has been using these guys on our jobs for years and referring them to our customers who need a good electrician. They've even done work on my own house. Great Company to use if you need electrical work.
