Michael B.As others have repeatedly stated, they do not return your calls (or at minimum, are arbitrarily selective about doing so). I have two separate and valid phone numbers and left clear, concise messages on at least a half-dozen occasions over a period of roughly as many weeks, all to no avail. It's obvious the message is they don't need me, my job, or my money. Sincerely, if that's how they handle their clients, one naturally has to assume this is a direct reflection on the quality of their work and overall reliability. Frankly, I'm surprised they're still in business (if they are).
The good news is, that by using Bay Area Consumers' Checkbook (or even the internet), I've alternatively found a number of respectable electricians who have responded to my calls and will be coming to my home for estimates. As the saying goes, there are more fish in the ocean.
Otherwise, if your time is important to you and you feel you'd be better served by an outfit that actually cares about your electrical needs, employing these folks would be a waste of time and an unwise decision indeed. But if you do, caveat emptor.... They may be ""Honest"" Electric, but they're certainly not Honestly ""Trying"" Electric. Sorry.
Kristin A.I don't have much to say because they never call back. I've called them and one other place THREE TIMES and left messages each time asking for a return call, and never once have they called me back. That is extremely rude and it says a lot about their business professionalism. And it's not like I called three times in a row and they got annoyed with me (which is still rude but slightly more understandable), I called twice for the same issue a year ago (with several weeks between each call), and once last week. Guess they're so busy they don't need my business.
Carrie M.Jose came to the rescue tonight! Half of my electricity went out in the house. When I told him that my fridge wasn't working and the food would spoil, he immediately came after hours. Any other electrician would have ignored my call. Jose diagnosed the issue and found that it was a PG&E issue. I cannot thank Jose enough. If you need a caring and honest plumber, call Honest Electric Co.!!!
Z Z.We needed an electrical panel replaced in our home that was essentially a fire hazard. We received a few quotes but HONEST was the best priced by far for doing the same (if not more) work as the others. The crew came out and replaced the sub-panel, installed sheet rock on the wall of the main panel, and installed new breakers all for the reasonably low price of under $1000. They finished the job in a couple of hours. Friendly, knowledgeable and frankly, honest. We've been using them ever since for other electric work around the house. They are great!
Jose and his guys fixed all of my electrical needs quickly, efficiently & right on the estimate. Highly recommended!!
FlyDj _.Does not return phone calls or reply to emails. The idea I've got is that what I need (installation of 12 recessed lights + rewiring 3 outlets ) is not worth his time.
Joe and his team did a thorough job. The work and pricing were excellent. I will use them again when I need electrical work.
16 Feb 2013: Worst experience I have ever had. Bougt a battery for my laptop computer. It didnt work, so I returned it, but have not yet received my refund.
I called the number listed, but it goes to a personal phone anwering maching. I have emailed and called and not recieved a response from the company.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
17 Feb: Still have not heard back from the HONEST Electronic Co that has not sent my refund. Not to HONEST!!
When a company gives you a fair bid, shows up on time with a smile, completes the job within the estimated time, is neat and cleans up fully, AND all of the work done is accomplished in a workmanlike fashion and everything works with out any ""call backs"" and you are completely satisfied, then you and I can call that a 5 Star performance. That to any ""Yelpers"" reading this review is what Honest Electric did on my job! Don't hesitate: Use them.
Need some electrical work done? Not sure if the electrician will do it right? Worried about the cost?
Go ahead and call honest electric. Jose and his team are skilled, quick and gave me great pricing for installing new ceiling lights, exterior sensor lights, replacing all outlets and covers, remove some adhoc wiring and install it properly, installing gfci outlets, fix improper wiring done by previous owner.
Two and half days work for 2-3 people, paid under 800, can't beat the price.
One advice though, be around while the work is done and make sure nothing is missed, and test it out yourself.
