Reasonably priced. The young man, David Hudgens worked hard, was very knowledgeable putting outside lighting in our yard.. They were recommended by my son who used them at his house. I will call them when needed for future jobs.

Hometown Electric did a service call in my home the other day. They were punctual, professional, and the price was excellent. Would definitely use them again.

I used this company to install a pendant light and the service technician who came out did an excellent job he arrived on time and quoted me a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them and when you call them ask for Jake.

Incompetent employees and the owner is on the same level plus unethical - job done wrong and not even up to code. Had a goal to get a water pump/fountain going and needed the expertise of an electrician. The pump required a 240 amp breaker. This info was shared with the owner first. Then a estimator came out and shared not only the same info but the spec paper work for the pump that was sitting right by the breaker box. The estimator upsold me to replace the whole breaker box (seemed fine as it would offer expandability and benefits). This was a big bullet to bite as it's for my Mom and the fountain is for her pond - my Mom makes less in Social Security than the bill was for this work!! Finally, the technician came out to install. I show him the fountain, the same spec paper work for the fountain - all pretty straight forward. Whelp, a friend sees the finished work about a week later and notifies me it's all wrong. The fountain is setup on a 110 breaker, no grounding rod, wrong type of box installed, among other code details that were not met. Ends up that the owner calls me a liar saying that I changed the fountain and not only won't refund me for that portion of the work, he wants to charge me to make the work correct. How does anyone do business like that!

This company is a rip off they tell you no charge until they find the problem when they get to your house then its $167 to get started then when they leave its goes up they change two light switches that did not need changing pulled no wires and the price went up over $150 dollars they charged me $257 dollars for the two switches the worker went in my bathroom and stayed for most of the time he was here stinking up my house please go to a better company unless you like getting ripped off

I contacted hometown electric to install lights in my home. They sent two gentlemen to provide me an estimate. I eventually hired hometown electric. Hometown electric cut three holes to big. I spoke to Jason and he said he would send someone out to repair the holes. I contacted him 3 times and each time I was assured me someone would contact me to set up repairs. As of this posts. I have not been contacted by hometown electric repair personnel.

Wanted to get a 3rd estimate for wiring a hot tub because the first two were a few hundred dollars different. Hometown comes back with an estimate of almost $6,000 to wire the hot tub. We have moved 3 times and had the hot tub wired so we are familiar with the costs and process. They were 4 times higher than the other estimates and obviously trying to rip someone off. Beware!!

Guess I'm the first to review this business.
I picked Hometown Electric at random to replace a kitchen light fixture. The tech got to our home and said he needs to check to electrically panel. Mind you...I'm a female and was home alone. Pretty easy target huh? He takes a picture of the inside of the panel and said the panel is overheating and needing replacing...wait for it....$2,600.00!!! I told him to just install the light fixture and I'll think about it. After the tech left I called my brother who has been a master electrician for 40 years and is licensed in 3 states. He came down to check out the panel and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it!! Everything was up to code and properly installed. Was this a scheme to ""prey on a female"" to make money. YES I think so. Beware is all I'm saying. And the tech charged me $286.00 to replace a light fixture which I paid but that was certainly highway robbery!! First and last for Hometown for me. They don't have an option for a review on their website so I wanted to leave a review on Yelp.
