She wanted to schedule me another appointment a week later.......we waited days already. I would NOT recommend this company with that sort of service and not even an apology. Never in my life have we been so happy with a company from start to finish. We called HTE to convert our gas oven to electric. We had Josh arrive to the house to look at the oven and he did a complete home safety check as well. We were truly blown away by Josh's knowledge, detailed description of updates he recommended and outstanding customer service. We did move forward with the project at hand and recommendations Josh provided us. Not only Josh but the entire team of technicians at HTE are truly the best in this business! Let me warn you about what to expect when these folks show up....

I recently bought a place and needed a few outlets and switches replaced, wanted to install a recessed outlet behind the TV and add some dimmer switches. I made my appointment with Home Team three weeks out and eagerly awaited having all these dangling projects completed.

What I got was two very professional electricians who spent a good 30 minutes analyzing my home only to tell me that essentially, I needed to spend $10k to complete my projects and keep my home from burning to the ground. Their exact words were ""your wiring is so bad we don't feel safe working in your home"".

A little context: This 1,500 sq ft townhome was built in 1982, when assuredly building codes were civilized (not according to these technicians). Granted, there have been about five previous owners and the last ones let this place go to pot. I have no doubt there is some dubious wirings behind my walls, but why not pin point specifics and offer a realistic solution, not put the fear of God into me and tell me I need take out a mortgage on my home to keep it safe. They also repeatedly claimed not a single other electrician will do me right.

So I parsed things out a bit, asking how much they charged for replacing my GFI outlets - $89 per outlet for 15 minutes of work. That's more than my high priced LA lawyer charges for legal advice.

In the end I spent three weeks waiting to have my odd electrical jobs completed, spent $80 for an estimate (which they offered to waive but I declined out of principle) and got frightened witless that unless I spend $10k my home will fry. Absolutely nothing gained.

End of day, I was $80 poorer and needed to find an affordable electrician who will show up and just do the jobs hired to do at a market going price.

I fully trust Home Electric's work and technicians are amazing - they are nice, professional if not slightly intimidating. If you have endless streams of cash and ready to rewire your entire home by all means call on these folks. If you just need a little work done, go elsewhere.

In the end I found an AMAZING and highly recommended electrician, fully licensed and bonded, who completed all my projects for $800 which included fixing any dubious wiring.

I was caught off guard by this vendor and don't want the same to happen to others. They are all about the upsell and I trust excellent service too.

Negative experience with having service to complex. 1 member of customer service made the situation worse. All others were pleasant to deal with. Never received a call from dispatch after the time frame would no longer work for me. Made an appointment over a week ago and gave time frames that I was available. Sent technician after canceled the appointment for another day with less than 1 hour to investigate and bid a project.

It's been said that all good things are worth waiting for, and, this was definitely the case when Home Team Electric came to my home yesterday! Having recently moved to the Coachella Valley, I am still collecting referrals from friends about services in this part of the desert. Because of my schedule, I had to wait a few days until the ""team"" came for the service call, but, once Colt got here, I could tell immediately that he was there to help this woman in distress!!!!!! Home Team needed to do a big job for me, but, all was done with confidence and perfection. The well-known company should be proud to have Colt as an employee 'cause he represents the company perfectly. Now, if someone new moves into my area, I can pass on the referral to that resident. I am very happy that I've connected with HTE!!!!!!!

Short version: Best customer service in the HD!

Long version: I wanted a few things done to the house, but wasn't sure what my options were. I called Home Team Electric and spoke to a very nice woman and made an appointment. I then received a phone call on the morning of and Colt said he could come earlier if that was OK. What???? Early???? Fantastic! 10 minutes later Colt and Perry arrived and were extremely nice and personable. They gave me my options and even went and shopped to get the kitchen lights that I wanted!

After they shopped for me (Still impressed by that!) they came back, replaced my kitchen lights (That were original to the 1971 house) and fixed my outlet while we chatted about the house and Tiger King. LOL

It was such a positive experience that I can't imagine using anyone else. They even gave my dog a lot of scritches and told him he was a good lookin' dog, so they are also Pitbull/Mastiff approved!

If I could give 6 stars, I would!

In March, 2020, I contacted Home Team Electric regarding a kitchen plug that kept shutting down. Josh, who communicated well throughout the process, came out and replaced the plug. That cost me $267.75. Also, the problem persisted.

Josh returned for a second time and did a full diagnostic of the electrical system and found the problem and now the plug works. That visit cost me $315.75.

So, one kitchen plug was fixed at a cost of $583.50. I asked for some kind of discount and received a $50 deduction. So the cost would have been $633.50!

Should I have another electrical problem, I'll be looking elsewhere.

I use, and try out, a LOT of home repair and service companies. Home Team is exceptional! One of the best out there. 24 hour service. Very professional. Shows up as scheduled. Informed and on top of the project. I had a headache of a situation with the county demanding an inspection for a vacation rental and spa electric. Home Team Electric handled all of it and did so with attention to detail and care. Someone friendly always answers the phone no matter when you call, albeit with a slightly cheesy 'How can we make you smile today', but regardless, they do their job and they mean it. And they are skilled at it. I wish all service-based companies were as professional and thoughtful (and excellent at their work) as Home Team. Applause.
