Benjamin was great. He explained everything including the price structure after he diagnosed the problem with our AC unit. He also went through any future work we should consider. I'm very satisfied, and we will definitely give a lot of thought to his recommendation, and we will definitely call them back once we are ready to replace out 15 year old unit.

When I called, I was helped by a very friendly person and she set up an appointment for that day which was greatly appreciated. They called later to give an estimated arrival time. Mark was friendly and professional. He provided great work and was very honest. The pricing was good - lower than we expected. The communication was excellent and the clean up afterwards was great. I would use them again without hesitation.

First I want to say that the actual service was done properly and quickly. I scheduled them to come to my home to install 3 outdoor motion lights. I had purchased new lights and needed them to take down the old lights and install the new ones. The total time on the job was 45 minutes of which less than 30 minutes was doing the work. Again, the job was done correctly. Then they gave me the bill . . . $330 for the job + $49 dispatch fee and all for less than one hour's work!!! I highly recommend NOT calling this coming. They are a true RIPOFF!!! The cost should not have been more than $120. I will never use them again. I would give the technician 4 stars, but the company a 0 or 1 star. If thinking about using this company, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!

Very good company to go through for electrical work. I called and had them come out to replace a cloth wire in my home. Little did I know that was not my only concern. I recently bought a home and had a home inspector inspect the home before I bought it. Well he didn't do a very good job. David from electric today had come by and looked through my electrical and found a lot of bad stuff that didn't get caught by the inspector. He was very professional and nice. He broke down everything and explained what he can do to help fix the major things. So I had him replace the cloth wire and fix all my double tapped breakers. He was on the job quick and knew exactly how to fix it. If only I could rate above 5 stars I would. The people that answer the phone calls are also sweet hearts. Every time i called them about something, they're always there to help and are just so nice. I love this company and will definitely be recommending it to anyone who needs a honest electrician/ heating & air tech to come out. Thanks again guys for helping me fix my home.

Recently had Electric Today do some work to my A/C in my place of business. What a great job! From the initial meeting with the AC manager it was clear that this company operates VERY professionally. The quote was given immediately and was the most reasonable I'd received. They worked with my scheduling need and allowed me to schedule on a days notice. The techs that came out did outstanding work for me. Even though they were speedy, the attention to detail was amazing, not just slapping it together to get to the next job.
From the initial meeting with the manager, to the techs, to the wonderful office staff, to the follow-up I had a great experience with Electric Today. In addition, their maintenance plan is very reasonable and I enjoyed the experience so much I'd purchased that as well. I've dealt with several Tampa AC companies and Electric Today is BY FAR the tops in my book.

I had an electrical problem while working on my father's park model mobile in a retirement community. I called Electric Today in the mid-morning and a very courteous scheduler assured me that they have an electrician there between 12:00 and 1:00. Art arrived at noon on the dot, professionally dressed and arrived in a business van with all gear needed. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Art explained how the pricing worked upfront and walked me through his troubleshooting process. We were able to fix the problem in a short period of time. The payment was easy as they took credit cards on site and a copy of the bill was provided to my e-mail address immediately. He also explained their coverage policy, billing and offers for convenient planned services for both electrical and AC issues. I have dealt with many electricians in the past and this was the best experience that I have had. Great job Art and the Electric Today team! I will pass positive recommendations for potential clients.

Fast, Efficient, Priced well. I would rather pay a fare price for professional service and highly qualified technicians than save a dollar for incompetents that takes hours. I have already recommended them to friends and family. Great Job Guys!

The first thing you need to know about this company is that they do not charge hourly - they charge by the job. I thought that would be a good thing because the electrician won't drag their feet to rack up more fees. Turns out, not so much. More on this later.

Another thing you should know is they don't charge for an estimate. All they charge you is a fuel fee for coming out to your house. $12 or $15, I think, which is much better than the $60-$80 other places will charge you for an estimate (though most of them will also roll that into the fee if you use them so that you don't end up paying for the estimate and the services). On the other hand, Electric Today charges you the fuel fee regardless of whether or not you use them.

My experience here was mixed. I called them up on a Wednesday and they offered me an appointment the following day. However, I asked them for a Friday appointment instead, and they gave me that Friday from 10-12 and told me I would hear from the electrician on Friday with a more specific ETA. Friday, 12:15, rolls around and I haven't heard from anyone nor has anyone showed up, so I called. Turns out, the person I spoke to 2 days prior never actually put my appointment in the system.

Some people would call that a sign and to move on, but I was convinced their pricing model was the best option. After all, if I went with another company and didn't like their prices, then I am automatically starting at the $70 or so for the estimate, plus whatever else My Electric would charge. That's how they get you.

Anyway, I did call a couple of other places to see if they could do same day appointments. When they couldn't, I called My electric back and scheduled an appointment for the following Friday. This time, everything went as planned.

I needed 2 services - a new wall switch for a light/ceiling fan fixture and a new security light installed outside. I was advised the total charge would be about $180. I had no idea if this was a good price, but I did know that if I said no, then I would have to get someone else out there and would inevitably end up using that other company, even if they were more expensive, because otherwise I would have to pay the estimate from company B and the $180 to my electric plus another fuel charge. Therefore, I said yes and hoped the work would take 2-3 hours to justify the charge (I had no where to be).

Unfortunately, the work took under an hour, which means I effectively paid $180/hour for an electrician. Chris was great - I like efficient people who get work done right the first time with minimal hassle and time - but $180/hour is highway robbery. I know, it is my fault for saying yes, but where do they come off charging those prices for work that only takes a short amount of time?

So, I had a poor customer service experience with my first appointment and got ripped off with my second appointment. Lesson learned. And again, this is not a bad review of the service itself. Chris would get all 5 stars, but the company he works for would only get 1 or 2 if it weren't for him. Hence the 3 stars.

We are very happy with the companies work. I called them to do a home inspection on a home we recently purchased that seemed to have some electrical problems. Adam came out and did a great job explaining everything he would do. After he was done he went through everything he found and explained it to me. He has been out 2 more time since the initial inspection. We have been very happy so far. I would definitely recommend Electric Today.
