Five stars for a job well done. I would add an extra star for being available on a Sunday, and one more for the great service. I needed a wiring clamp installed on my garbage disposal and a new spout installed in my bathtub. I called Home Hero on Sunday morning and they were able to come out the same day to take care of everything. Thank you Roman!

I asked them to replace a kitchen hood. Once the old one was removed, there was clearly extra work that had to be done (drywall hole patched, wood removed.) They did the extra work needed without issue. The new hood was installed correctly, they did extra work to ensure the vent didn't leak -- i.e., everything I would have done myself if I were a contractor working on my own house. Can't give them any higher praise.

I also had them replace some exterior lights, and then picked up the materials, arrived on time, and completed the task quickly and cleaned up. I mean, what else can I say? They're a jewel and I expect them to end up being overloaded with work!

I found the Marchenkos on an app and it was luck of the draw, right? The NANOSECOND that they worked with me, I asked them if I could contact them directly. (The best way to communicate with them is via text.) I am a beyond a senior citizen, not handy all, and it is very difficult to find competent people to do minor repairs and maintenance. They treated my small job as important and my home as carefully as a precious antique. When I referred them to a friend, he said, ""Roma did everything but LICK that patio floor before installing the covering... ... ..."" Their work is professional, talented and immaculate. And if they cannot do a certain type of job, they let you know up front and don't try to shine you on (but then go find subs.) I have both supplied hardware or materials to them and let them shop for me to purchase e.g., paint, so they are flexible. Of course you pay for their time but they're not gouging you on prices.

Alona is an internationally respected designer, and I have asked her opinion many times. How often can you consult a professional in the design field when you want a coat or hat rack installed? I wish to emphasize they have ""created"" as well as repaired. Over these many months I have had them do furniture assembly, paint, hang décor and pictures, affix handles and pulls to all of my kitchen cabinets and drawers, repair my threshold and outdoor landscape lights, do minor carpentry, etc. They are experienced enough to know how to charge by the job and not by the hour. They are scrupulously honest and ethical. They like cash (who doesn't?) but do Venmo as well, so it's convenient to work with them. To me the goal of any home repair app is to locate a reputable person with whom you can build a relationship and call for future needs, and I am grateful to have found them. To me, their prices are very low for the quality of work. You can't really find anyone better.

In conclusion, I am the type of person to criticize or complain directly to the restaurant, business, manufacturer, etc. vs. immediately post negative reviews. Always I try to give the provider a chance to make things right before blasting them in public. So, yes, all of my reviews tend to be very positive but this is no exaggeration!

If you need top quality handyman work done, this is where you will find it. Roma and Alona are hands-down the best you can hire to get things done right. I had them paint my master bedroom with very high ceilings, change out locks, work on light fixtures, hang decor....and several other things and all tasks were completed with the utmost care. This young couple is also very friendly and their prices are more than reasonable. They will always be my number one choice. Highly recommend!
