We hired this company to install a white vinyl fence. He began the job on 9 August 2023 and on 16 September 2023, after it dragged on for 38 days, we fired the contractor due to cancelling many times - sometimes informing us the day of postponing, sometimes not at all. At the outset, we had to postpone twice due to family emergencies. We were told that, because we had postponed, we needed to pay for the job up front and that they had gotten behind by two weeks with the schedule. We paid upfront for the entire amount that it was going to cost.
Let me start off by saying that the reason we fired the contractor was due to the job dragging on and on. Cancelling or not showing up to work got old very quickly!! It should not have taken that long to install a vinyl fence especially given the size of our yard. Once we fired the company, we had several fence estimators come to the house to evaluate the work. The words they all used was ""worst job I have ever seen, we will need to take down the fence and start over."" Allow me to point out what was pointed out to us by the several estimators. The posts were crooked, the gate door was crooked and too much space between the posts and the gate opening. Your contractor installed the plastic vinyl posts with no wooden post inside - we have since learned the vinyl posts should have had a wooden post inside each one to make the posts sturdy - that is a normal process. There were a few posts that were higher than they should be, the fence line was crooked, there was too much space under the fence in certain areas, and space in between some of the slats. Toward the end of the project, we obviously became your lowest priority. We paid your company close to $11,000 on the new vinyl fence & installation. We got quotes and we went with the cheapest one which cost us an additional $7500.00 to repair the brand new vinyl fence.
Clearly, Brady Hollander had NO IDEA of how to install a vinyl fence! Due to all of his mistakes, this project cost us over $18,000 total. He should have been honest with us and told us that he didn't know how to install a vinyl fence. Instead, he took full advantage of us and our money. This is not the way to treat customers - especially those of us who were trying to help out small businesses. We were treated very poorly and the contractor's attitude was horrible all the way through. He blamed us for a lot of the issues, including him not even ordering a gate. He blamed the delay on supplies from stores, but when we checked on the ordered parts, they had been in the store waiting for him. He told us that we had to pay more than originally agreed upon because he miscalculated the amounts. We feel that we were overcharged quite a bit!
We wanted to give the company a fair chance to resolve this issue by paying us back in the amount of $7500.00. We obviously never heard back.
We have met with lawyers and we know for a fact that we have a strong case in small claims court. We didn't want to go down that road unless absolutely necessary, but it is looking more likely.

They repaired some sections of an old damaged wooden fence. The repair was done well. Minor issues with punctuality, but otherwise no problems. Cost was more than initial estimate, but the price was reasonable overall. That's the main reason for the rating. Job was started and finished on time.

Brady Hollander of Hollan home improvements did me really wrong. he did not finish the job on a fence I was having installed. and then demanded payment. while he was cussing at me and repeated saying the F word. and threatening me. I had a lot of fencing done and he often would say he needed to charge more. way more than the amount we first agreed on. he seemed so nice at first. he is very deceptive. on the back fencing which was a large project. he was never here. I had to constantly correct his workers to stop doing it wrong and correct it. he was just horrible as a Christian I trusted him. never hire him. please.

Poor service, poor quality, used helpers son, who appeared to be less than 14 years old to do 90% of the work while standing around and smoking cigarettes. Incompetent.
