I paid about $24000 to have a generater put in, then two years later they don't want to do the normal service!!! They don't stand by there work! No one else will service it, they say the installer is sopose to do it, Gerac said the same thing, I would not use this company for anything!! They do not stand behind there work!!!! Bill D

We hired them to fix ceiling fan. Although Johnny seemed very friendly, he wired the fan wrong. Also talked me into replacing ceiling lights with led lights. The lights do not dim properly, and the older ones worked better. When he returned to replace a faulty light switch that he had installed, he charged again because he said it needed a better switch for that particular function. Unfortunately, I paid him and will never use or recommend Hoffman Electical.

they take full advantage of the elderly. i used them. they charged me for work that was never done. had to have another a/c company come in and fix what they didnt. very sad they have todo this to make a living. shame on you people.

Extremely professional and kind staff, from making the appointment, to the electrical work provided. We have had issues with the breakers in our home. Hoffman Electrical had a very quick response time. This type of service seems hard to come by anymore. Thank you Collin for everything, Hoffman Electrical should be proud to have you on their staff.

We had Hoffman come out to and give us a quote to completely redo our electrical panel in preparation for our new tankless water heater. I didn't love that there was a fee associated with getting a quote but I guess that's the norm these days? James was our service guy and he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We had James complete the job. I am not sure about cost in comparison to other companies but James did a great job and made sure we were happy with the end result.

This company starts out as a dedicated, "" you are our customer for life"" and professional, with the statement "" we will make it right"" typed on their invoice. Installed a new air condition system ($14K), after the installation, is when the true color of this company started. One technician would give a resolution to fix the problem, problem arise again then a different technician with different results, a total of fourteen service call. After the first six months of back and forth on the same issue, pertaining to the outside unit, the unit had to be replaced. Problems continued during the next six months. After the company one year warranty had expired, they informed me that I would be placed on their: DO NOT CALL LIST! I requested to speak with the owner: Mr. Mike Hoffman on several occasion, and was always given a reason he was unavailable to speak to me. I mailed Mr. Hoffman a letter concerning my concerns, he never responded.
This company provides a nice Website, update emails/texts, but don't be fool by this tactic! The service manager and service scheduler. Can be rude, with a scrip of sarcasm, disrespected, with a so what attitude, when the customer demand work, be completed correctly and ask the technical questions.
So, you can use this company base on their nice colorful trucks and nice clean white shirts. But you will be DIAPPOINTED.

Stay away from this company and find another that actually wants to help you!
I had an issue with my HVAC and called to have someone come out and take a look to see what the problem was. After glancing over the indoor unit I was told that the motor needed to be replaced and was not under warranty. I was also told that my unit has had the same motor replaced twice before, one year after it was installed, and again a year later!! When asked what could be causing the motor to continue to burn out, I was not given an answer, nor did the service tech attempt to problem shoot what may be the source of this recurring issue. I then asked if the new motor would have a warranty incase this issue were to happen again and was told no. I was then told the cost and I was required to pay half before they left that day.
Within an hour of them leaving I was able to speak to another company who quoted me $400 less than Hoffman, informed me that depending on the replacement motor they use, it would come with a warranty and they came out and told me several sources that may be contributing to my issue so that we can fix the problem and stop this from reoccurring.
I quickly called Hoffman (within an hour of the service tech leaving my home) to cancel my upcoming appointment and asked for them to refund the LARGE payment I had made since I will not be requiring further services or parts from them. The next day I received a phone call from their service manager to inform me that I was still responsible for fees in addition to the service fee I agreed to when I first contacted Hoffman. He stated that I needed to pay a ""diagnostic fee"" and a restocking fee for parts that they were going to use on my unit. He said the service fee is only to have someone come out to the home not to have them look at the unit. I told him I had no problem paying for the service fee as I had agreed to that when I made the appointment and I received that service. However I was never informed of a ""diagnostic fee"" prior to services rendered nor that my payment would be non-refundable or their would be a ""restocking fee"" if I choose to cancel. I have still not been issued a refund for services and parts that I will not be receiving.
This company is clearly taking advantage of costumers and not looking out for their best interest. If I was treated this way, I am sure their are many others that have been as well and may be afraid to speak up.

I had a very good experience this week when using Hoffman electric. I needed some outlets and switches updated plus have some new light fixtures installed. Collin and Erick were my technicians and they were both extremely courteous, professional and respectful. We would definitely have them in our home again for more work when needed.

Awful company and immoral. Tried to charge me 250 bucks for a 7 dollar, yes you read that correctly, part that they put into a unit bought FROM THEM, less than a year ago.

On top of that, I had already paid them hundreds of dollars to replace a sub-breaker that the same unit FRIED due to the aforementioned problem. Basically, it was sending out almost triple the number of normal amps upon start up.

Ended up not having to pay only after screaming at them.

Hired them to install two ceiling fans and a small spot light they ask for more than $800.....very vey over priced
Of course I did NOT go with them....but they will charge you 50 dollars just to show up so I end up paying 166 for putting a spot light.... I do NOT recommend them you can fined others with much lower price and same or better quality
