They double-charged me on a service call. The electricians originally came out to replace batteries and several lights. Service was fine:$195. But a few days later the alarms went off all over my house, so had to have them back in. This time they replaced all three batteries, but charged me a hefty service charge a second time: $235. Ridiculous. I've tried to reach them ever since -- Lisa specifically -- and every time, they disconnect the phone or fail to answer. I've used them for 20 years. NEVER AGAIN

When you realize that the rate of the service call and hourly rate hinges on the quality of the technician and the backing of the company, price equals out.

This company has the worst public relations and highest prices around. They've made a mistake hiring Lisa as a front line staff member. She is beyond rude. In addition, they did a bad job and then would not correct it. I had to hire another, reasonably priced electrician to make things right. He laughed when he saw what they had done. Steer clear of this company at all costs.

I've lived in the area for years and have used Hobbs Electric three times in the last year or so for both routine calls and renovation. Craig and Tom are always fantastic. Not only are both these men very efficient in getting the job done they are very pleasant to work with. In fact, I have nicknames for them. LOL Lisa is always pleasant when I've talked to her and was recently helpful in getting to the bottom of an electrical problem. Not only did they solve the flickering lights issue but the cost was extremely reasonable for the peace of mind. I was very worried the flickering lights were going to be an expensive repair but they fixed the issue and all is great!

Thank you to Hobbs for three jobs well done. Here are a few of the things they did during these jobs.

1. Fix Flickering and dimming lights (Fixed fuse box issue)
2. Install shower fan light in new shower
3. Replace outlets in new master bath
4. Add new outlet in master bath
5. Moved vanity light outlet
6. And several more items.

Yeah all done! :)

Do not hire this company. They practice price gauging and will pad your bill with unnecessary billing such as helpers that arent needed. They also charge by the hour and exaggerate service time.
