Company Overview

HLC Electric Supply Company’s Service Division provides installation of new electrical systems and maintenance for existing ones. We perform a variety of tasks such as upgrading panels, retrofitting lighting, changing out services, installing landscape lighting, providing dedicated circuits, setting up sub panels, ensuring ground fault protection (GFI/GFCI), and installing EV charging stations.

The Sales Division of HLC Electric Supply Company is dedicated to power distribution and motor control equipment. We maintain a vast inventory featuring brands like GE, Cutler Hammer, ITE, Westinghouse, Square D, and Allen Bradley, among others. We supply switch and signal gear spanning all ages of electrical equipment. We also sell energy-efficient LED lighting suitable for commercial and industrial applications. Our lighting products are DLC listed and adhere to the highest standards of electrical efficiency. HLC’s vast inventory and comprehensive product expertise make us an asset to commercial and industrial power users and service experts.

HLC Electric Supply Co. was founded in 1982, but our roots extend much deeper. During the 1950s, brothers Charley and Art Contreras began a venture called Industrial Marine, which serviced and resold industrial electrical equipment. For over twenty years, in an era known as the golden age of electricity, these brothers supplied an alternative for electrical distribution and motor control equipment when manufacturers fell behind the rapid industrial growth. Numerous systems from that era are still in use today. Now, three generations later, HLC Electric proudly serves our community and clients across the nation, leveraging the wealth of knowledge and experience we've accumulated in electrical systems. Charlie Contreras serves as the owner and head technician at HLC Electric Supply Co.. He is a licensed C10 electrician and a specialist in electrical distribution equipment. Charlie stands out in his field due to his keen attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Charlie is married and takes pride in being the father of two beautiful young children. In his free time, he enjoys sports and is passionate about saltwater fishing.
