This review is way overdue!!! I've been busy remodeling all four rental units since I hired Diego and his team in September 2023, and I forgot to leave a review. HL Voltage upgraded two of the main electrical panels at two of my rental units in Signal Hill and did a complete rewire in one of the units. Diego and his team are very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I did have some light flicker after installation, and Diego and his team came out right away many times to make sure it was resolved. They informed me that the neutral power drop coming from Edison was an issue. I contacted Edison, and they fixed their issue! They provide excellent value for their work!

Once again HL Voltage business owner Diego Aguilar came thru like a top professional electrician!
My power and internet inside my home went down late on a Friday afternoon; I checked the breakers and couldn't restore it myself so I called Diego on his cell phone. He answered, and gave me a few pointers on how I might restore it; and he said if I couldn't do it, he would come the next morning at 11 AM to my house on a Saturday. He showed up on time and spent an hour and a half with me despite having a newborn son at home and his family in town visiting; When he found it to be an Edison problem, he even called and filed a report for me with SCE and requested service ASAP from them;
he didn't ask me for any payment when he left, but I insisted on paying him since he came out on a Saturday morning and he helped me out by identifying the problems I was having.
Diego and his company HL Voltage is a first class legit top professional operation. I recommend him highly for any electrical needs you have, including emergencies.
I originally hired him about a year ago to re-do my entire front yard and patio and flowerbeds with new brick lights and low-voltage lighting. He did a phenomenal job, for a reasonable price!
So now he and his company are my electricians for life!

We hired HL Voltage to install a vintage sconce. Diego came to scope out the work, and gave us the best quote for the project. Someone on his crew came to install the sconce a few days later, but afterwards we realized the sconce was making a buzzing sound. Diego and his team are nothing short of the best. They came recommended through our friend when they did some work in our backyard. We called them up again to install much needed recessed lighting in our main bedroom, and replace lighting with recessed fixtures in our other rooms upstairs. What I thought would take a week they did in two days and with such a high level of quality. George was project lead and communicated thoroughly with us about our options and how it would impact the price. Nate was onsite with him and they worked super well together. It always seems like a gamble when you hire contractors but rest assured you are in good hands with HL Voltage. Our lighting is game changing upstairs!!

I called HL Voltage late on a Saturday because I shorted something out when attempting to install a ceiling fan. Diego answered the call, showing up within 30 minutes. He quickly assessed the problem and was able to restore power to 3/4 of my house within 15 minutes. He also gave me instructions on how to correctly install the ceiling fan.
