I called Herman yesterday in regards to servicing our home due to some outlets that were not working. We were not sure if there was a fuse or what was going on. I called and left a message and he was quick to respond. Herman was professional and prompt in completing the job. All the outlets that needed to be fixed are working great and so thankful he had availability to come and get the job done. Pricing was fair. We will certainly use Herman for future services.

Scheduled an estimate for today at 4pm. At 4 I get a text saying that he can come at 4:45. I had an appointment then so I asked if he could come later. He said he would come at 7. It is now 7:50 and he just texted to ask if he could come tomorrow instead. He might be a great electrician, but I will never know because I'm moving on to someone who shows up when they say they will.

Response time was quick! The response itself, horrible. Attempted to charge me $100 for a $12 part. Lots of electricians to chose from on Yelp. Skip this one. We got the doorbell fixed for $150. That's the going rate, not $250 like this person suggested.

*Common sense. I'll pay fair or even above market for good work. Price gouging is another issue. The text speaks for itself. Good luck people!

I hired Herman for fitting recess lighting cross my whole house. He took the job but left after 1 hour of work leaving 3 wholes in my bedroom. He never returned back and didn't respond to my messages. I think he may be good for small jobs but not suitable for something big.

Do not recommend! Because of all the good reviews we had HL Electric/Herman come out to install a conduit to connect to our hot tub. We've had nothing but issues with it tripping all the time. When we called to ask him to come back to fix it. He blamed it on the city and house. Didn't want to take any responsibility and didn't want to come out to see what went wrong. We found out after when we brought out other electricians to fix it that he cut corners and used 3 instead of 4 wires and he used 8 instead of 6 gage wires. Beware of this electrician, he does not stand behind his work. He is also unfortunately incompetent and dishonest. We now have to go through the trouble of having it fixed and going to small claims court to get our money back from him.

I'm so happy to have a light switch fixed that's never worked! It's not always easy to get services up in Big Bear. Herman was commutative and very responsive. He was like a detective in locating which switch goes with what light. I will be using him for any electrical issues in the future. While he was at my condo, my neighbor hired him on the spot!

Herman put up a stove range vent in my kitchen. My husband is very picky about the work people do in the house, and he asked Herman to come back for other jobs. Herman was prompt in responding, polite, and cleaned up before he left. I love the function and look of my vent!

This review is for the good customer service. Herman answered all my questions with ease and very responsive. I wish I could have had him perform the job of recessed lights and ceiling fans in my home, but I painted beforehand and didn't want to mess up the paint job since I don't have an attic. Will use him in the future for any electrical jobs.
