Company Overview

I specialize in small residential jobs and resolving problems in this community. I started my career in Contra Costa County in the 1980s, managing a crew of ten wiring entire homes. Eventually, I downsized and set up my shop in Marin during the 90s.

Finally, I relocated my operations to San Mateo. I work independently to deliver custom care and attend to my clients' expectations for prompt service.

Greetings, I have been a home electrical specialist for three decades and have lived in the Bay Area my entire life.

Before I entered the electrical field, I managed my own repair service, which enhanced my abilities in various repair jobs.

This knowledge proves valuable when I must change something to make certain an electrical solution is both effective and looks good.

Our job was too big for Bob to do and he was honest about it. Even gave me some tips and knowledge on electrical related work. Very nice!

Who's afraid to call an electrician? Me, always. I called Bob in just checking on prices. He could have just done that and let me keep on checking but went the extra mile. I sent him pictures, he called me back and walked me through solving my own problem. Not once, but twice to check on how I was doing. He wasn't after the $$$$ but just helping someone out. If I ever have any question about or need to actually need someone to my home...no doubt I'm calling Bob.

I called Bob for help with our light timer. No matter what my husband or I tried we couldn't solve the issue. I called Bob based on the positive reviews he got on yelp. But before we even tried to schedule an appt with him, Bob first tried to help me over the phone and gave me a few different things to look for, free of charge. He even followed up the next day asking if I was successful and further gave me more tips to try. Again, not asking for anything in return. I didn't end up hiring Bob for the job for unrelated reasons but in this crazy world we're living in it was so nice to encounter someone who was just trying to be helpful with integrity and no expectation of anything in return. We'll be calling on Bob for future projects!

Asked Bob to come out to install a new outdoor light and outdoor outlet. It wasn't exactly straightforward, but his solution worked perfectly. Very responsive, high quality work. Strongly recommend.

I had lights that were flickering on/off (NOT dimming) throughout a large portion of the home and would occasionally just stop working for hours at a time.

Another electrician took 5 hours at $910 crawling around the ceiling space, reconnecting and ""tightening"" things and claimed it was all better. It was not -- the power issues continued 2 days later.

Got in contact with Bob at 11am, he came out that same day by 2pm, had the problem fixed 30 minutes and $300 later; money well spent. Turns out the previous folks had missed that an entire breaker bar contact in the main panel had been sparking and completely corroded the bar contact. Bob put in a new breaker on undamaged bar contacts and put everything back together.

I'm a property manager that knows enough to be dangerous (mainly to myself). Today, during this COVID-19 crisis, I was facing another crisis where power was lost to half the house. After failing to restore after resetting all of the circuit breakers at the sub-panel and confirming with PG&E that power was being delivered to the main I knew that I needed the help of a real professional. Luckily Bob answered and after sending him photos of the sub-panel and the main breaker he was able to diagnose the issue down to the possibly of a faulty fuse(s) at the main breaker. This property has antiquated electrical equipment at the main and I was very reluctant to touch anything however Bob informed me that I can safely pull out the fuse banks and run a continuity test on each fuse using a volt meter to determine the faulty fuse. I did just that and was able to isolate the faulty fuse. After a trip to home depot and 10 minutes later power was fully restored. Bob even called me back to see if the issue was resolved. Have a decent size project? Hire this man for his honesty, professionalism and expertise. I know I will.

Bob was extremely reliable and his work was great. Best electrician we've had, hands down.

We had a difficult problem with our door buzzer and he was able to come up with a custom switch solution. Other electricians were unable to figure out how to fix it.
