Higgins Electric is the most professional, keep their promises, high quality electrician I have hired. Of all the construction trades I have hired they are the best. They have done multiple electrical panels, electric car chargers, room additions, and recessed lighting installs for us.

We were super happy with the service Higgins Electric provided us. They were professional and went above and beyond. After getting quotes from three different electricians we decided to go with Higgins. They were the middle quote in terms of price, but Jason was the only electrician of the three that actually listened to us and provided us a quote based on what we asked.

After hiring him to do the service he went above and beyond. There was some funky wiring in our garage (multiple light switches, random wires, a timer, etc) that looked really messy and he cleaned it all up for us and made it look really nice and didn't even charge us extra. Jason and his team were fast and completed the job in a swift and professional manner. He never tried to talk us into doing more than what we asked him to do. We were really happy with their work! We plan to use them again and refer to our friends!

I was referred to Jason by Blayne from L&S Garage. He was able to come out quickly and help fix our garage electricity issue. While he was here he also looked at a light in my master bedroom that was not working. He was very kind, professional, and efficient. Many of the larger electrical companies will not come out for small issues and I appreciated that he did not write off this job. I love working with nice, fair and professional local small businesses in Orange County, I am so glad I can add Higgins Electrical to that list.

Had Jason out to install floodlights and my ring doorbell. He was honest, on time and did all the work in a timely manner. Everything is great. He made sure I was happy with everything. Will definitely use him again!!

So I'm extremely disappointed that I had to write this review since I tend to only write positive reviews but I feel this needed some attention. I had an issue with what I thought would be my electricity but come to find out it was not. I spoke with Jason, nice guy, and I informed him that the electricity to my microwave and the Nest thermostat was not working. Jason said he could ask his dad to stop by. I asked about pricing and he informed me that it was $100 for coming to my house and $100 per hour to diagnose and fix the issue. I asked if it usually takes a while and he said no we could usually diagnose and fix most things within an hour. I agreed
Rhett came to my home and I showed him relatively quick what the issue was. He checked the two areas with his equipment which took no more than 15 min to let me know there was not a problem with electricity and I would have to contact heating and air.
Rhett went outside for a few and made a call to someone, walked back in my house stating he had a friend that could come by to check the issue. I said that would be great thank you. I had no idea he was racking up the minutes with me since we already discovered there was nothing wrong with the electricity 15 min from when he arrived. So now 20 min of him being at my house I was under the impression he was calling his buddy to come over since I told him yes I would appreciate that.
So now I'm in the house and realized I have not been asked about payment and Rhett was on the phone in his truck. I was under the assumption this was his heating and air friend but it was not. So I waited patiently while he was on the phone to ask if I can give him payment. It has now been 45 min since he arrived in which 30 of it was just chit chat and the assumption he contacted his heating and air guy since I agreed to it almost 20 min prior. He wanted to charge me $175 for being at my house for 45 min when he only did 15 min of diagnosing and then telling me he was sending his friend out. I asked him what time will your friend be here and he said I never contacted him back. WHAT?? What the heck were you doing for the past 20 min that you were in your car supposedly contacting your friend to come out then charging me for that time in which you never contacted him to tell him to come.
So at this point I'm livid and Rhett is being rude because he was unhappy that I was not okay for paying for 45 min worth of work when only 15min (which is a gracious amount of time) more like 10min to diagnose with no work done.
So now here I am with a clearly upset man, when he put his son Jason on the phone. I explained to Jason how disappointed and mislead I felt by the service and charges I was being charged for. Not only is 100$ high for getting to my house 10 miles away but I agreed to it and that is on me. But to stand around a home when everything was diagnosed and done in 15 min to eat up time to make more money is insane to me.
To top it off, and this is why the stars are so low, Rhett tried telling me I should pay for his time for contacting his friend, which he did on his own without my permission. I agreed even after I was appalled by that sneaky time technique even though this was something he did on his own without my permission and charged me for it. I then asked is your friend on his way because you told me you would tell him 30 min ago when you walked back to your truck. He said no I didn't contact him. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. This whole time I was under the impression he walked back to his car 30 min prior to say yes to his friend to come out and the call was NEVER MADE. UGHHHH. I was waiting for this guy and was under the assumption he would have been here any minute and the call was never made...I can not believe this.
So Rhett said why did you still want him to come out? I said yes please, the same answer I gave 30 min ago when you were going to your car to call him in which YOU WERE CHARGING ME FOR AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO IT. Then Rhett said yah I don't think I'm going to do it. I'm like what???? you told me you were doing this a half hour ago. He the said fine I will text him. I said Rhett can I please have his number so I can confirm a time? He said no I'm not going to give you his cell phone. I then said how can I confirm this, Rhett was very dismissive and said you can look him up and he left.
10 min later I get a call from Rhett saying sorry he can't make it he had to go to his next job... how convenient Rhett. Maybe if you would have told him 30 min prior like you told me you were he could have made it. I was left being mislead, and frustrated with the morning and these guys still made a good amount of money for checking outlets within 10-15 min letting me know everything was okay.

Higgins Electric Inc. is a 5 Star Business!!! I called Higgins Electric yesterday afternoon and received a call back the same day from Rhett Higgins. Rhett came to my condo the following day.
He replaced the electrical outlet switch in the kitchen within minutes. My garbage disposal recently stopped working and Rhett also fixed that so I didn't have to call a plumber which saved me a lot of money. Now that is what I call Great Service!!! I'm also very happy with the price he charged.

Jason has come out to my residence twice now. He is very polite, shows up on time and takes pride in ensuring the job is completely properly. I even called because I was having a problem after he left and he didn't hesitate for a second about coming back out to check to make sure I was happy with the work.
