At 6, I started as a bricklayer's helper for 5 uncles during summer breaks until I was 14. Next, I began helping to build homes. I entered the garage door industry at 18 and spent 15 years installing and repairing them. I then spent 2 years as a maintenance worker before advancing to maintenance supervisor.
