I can't believe no one has mentioned they charge 29 dollars to give you a quote! They will not come to even bid on a job unless they are paid. Why is this not in the comments?

Have you ever looked at Yelp for an electrician and wonder if you're choosing the right one? As you're sitting there looking at your air conditioner and your lights and nothing is turning on? You live in California and it's hot! And then you go to Yelp and you find electrician and called you back and you wonder if you're making the right choice? Well with Rocky and his company you are making the right choice! He is friendly, clean, and smart. He showed up on Friday within 4 hours after I called to check out what was going on. On his first pass he got it to work but the issue happened again. I called his answering service to let him know what happened and he called me back within 5 minutes. Made an appointment and came back on Saturday morning. He fixed it and did not charge me again. I'm very pleased with his service I'm very pleased with this company and would recommend him.

My grandmother lives in a really old house in Simi Valley that has frequent electrical issues. Rocky has been incredibly helpful and really understands her vulnerability living alone. He is so quick to go out and resolve each new issue as it comes up.
I live two hours away and can't always drive down right away. It makes me feel so much better that he knows her, responds quickly and professionally, is easily reachable and knows what he's doing.

The answering service for this company is excellent, it was easy to set up an appointment. They are very busy, and I scheduled for a quote for a month away but unfortunately no one showed up at the scheduled two-hour time window. I called to inquire and 45 minutes later got a call from the technician that he had no reception to inform us of his delay and is on his way and will be there in another 45 minutes. We had to cancel because of other engagements. Although we can't comment on his work but considering that he is so busy, we may try to reschedule at a future date and update review.

I've had Herbert & Sons Electric out on multiple occasions for new and repair work, in my previous and current home. They are just fantastic. On top of the basics you expect from an electrician (being licensed, insured, knowledgeable, etc.), Rocky makes suggestions that you might not have even considered and then goes above and beyond to do things the right way the first time. I can't say enough how much that's appreciated in an industry where so many others know they can just hide bad work in the walls. When someone asks for an electrician I always say, ""I know a guy.""

My mother had an outlet that caught fire so I called and asked if they could send someone the next afternoon. Rocky called back right away. I explained that I would have to meet him at my mom's because she is elderly and gets confused. He asked me what time I could get there and arranged his schedule around me. When he met my mother he immediately assessed he situation and went to extra lengths to make sure she would be okay. He replaced the outlet, checked the breaker box, asked if the smoke alarm went off when the outlet smoked then checked it to be sure it was working. He even wiped off the black around the outlet. When he left my mother wasn't able to plug her fan into the outlet. I called Rocky and he came right back to check it. It was just hard because it was new so he loosened up the holes, plugged in the fan and turned it on. Happy mom. Happy me.
I did have a bit of trouble. He said he emailed me my receipt from his tablet. It didn't arrive in my email so I had to ask him a few times to resend. He did.

I know I if I have a project or problem, Rocky will handle it in a professional and timely manner. He charges fair prices for his high quality of work and goes the extra mile to ensure everything is done to code, the correct and safe way. I had Rocky come out and upgrade my main panel. All the breakers I had are over 50 years old and some will not reset. I was replacing my roof and the service mast was needed to be relocated so it wasn't over the patio cover. His pricing was very fair and the professionalism was superb. I've used him a few times before for a few minor jobs. This was a pretty big job and he didn't stop when it started raining. Who works on electrical stuff when it rains??? I like how he drives a fully stocked truck and never had to leave to pick up needed parts. This made it possible to wrap up the project quickly so I was able to finish my project. I recommend this company for any electrical repair.

I had a dead short that took out a hospital bed, clocks and a TV. I had just replaced my HVAC system. So I called Family Air and Jerry the Owner came out early the next morning to check it out. He Called Rocky and he showed up a couple of hours later and found and fixed the problem, at a very reasonable price. Excellent service! I would highly recommend this firm as this was a potential fire hazard. By the way the problem was not caused by Family Air that is also, a 5 star company. When you hire the best they typically refer the best.
